No it isn't.

Barrier only protects against damage, you could hit a follower with barrier for a million damage and it would still block all of it.

Bane instantly kills followers no matter how much their health, it doesn't do any damage. It straight up deletes them from the board if they manage to touch them, that's why 0 attack followers with bane can still kill other followers.

If barrier blocks damage and bane does no damage then it would make sense that barrier is useless against bane.

Think of it like a jew in a suit of plate armor. Sure it'll help a ton against direct hits, but what good would armor do against gas?

Went 14-12 in Sapphire today in B rank. Worst was a 4 loss streak, best win streaks are around 4 too.

Beginning to have less enjoyment though, though I've never been much of a TCG person either. At least 3/4ths of the wins and losses today felt like they were absolutely pre-determined from low roll draws or high roll draws or vice versa for either side. A few ramp dragons getting fucked by me and a decent curve and them conceding by turn 5. Or Aggro Dragon where I hard mulligan 4/4 but draw 0/6 removal cards while a 5/5+ firenewt fucks my ass all game. Or fighting Runecraft and their hand is either god tier or they brick.

It feels like a mindless gambling simulator after a while, but also at just the right level of mindfulness that it becomes easy to make mistakes if you're just dialing the grind in. About 3-4 out of those 26 had glaring mistakes from either the opponent or me.

My experience has been the exact opposite of Hounds being bricks because in nearly every world anything else is a better turn 3 drop and Luminous Magus is better even on turn 6 out of curve. Meanwhile a Kage on curve is game winning more than half the time later on. Especially if you ran crown, though that is bricky in some matchups.
