Cinderella was corrupted. Though they also say in Red Ash taht she was fused with a rapture (or it's core) and we know that her body is now almost entirely nanomachines.
Marian's body was remade by the raptures but she looks the same except for her hair/eye colors. She's also corrupted/brainwashed.
Nihilister says heretics are made in a similar fashion to how nikkes are made and they may take on a different appearance after the process.
In short, we really just don't know yet.

Nowadays you can get normal characters with stuff in their kits that used to be novel and exclusive like Distributed Damage or Taunt/Shield/Invincibility. There are also regular units that are as powerful or better than pilgrims.
If you want to play in braindead retard mode then sure, the newest top of the line units are what you want, but ultimately not necessary to beat the game, there certainly are options.

The problem with mother whale at high cp deficit, was that you were forced to deal with the mechanics. Noah made bomb dodging possible and allowed you to invuln the wipe out wave later which would just kill you at this point. you had to time Dorothy's burst at around 2:32 or 1;52?, I can't remember, so that it would explode at the right time so the shield wouldn't pop up. I used snow white because you can hit the whale and 3 of the launchers at a time for maximum damage. Centi makes for incredible burst gen and modernia was just there for extra damage. I used a lot of this similar thinking later during the solo raid whale when that was a thing too.

Of all the asses in the game, however nice they are, Eve's fat ass is the only one that actually starts getting me hard the moment I look at it. God I love ass cheeks

The pity system is every roll in the advanced/special recruit gives you golden mileage tickets that you can trade 200 for the character while it's available. Buying rolls can be expensive so you should calculate how far away from that pity you are. Pity doesn't expire though so you can save it for a future pick-up too.
He thought you meant Raven's skin pass that costs $20 and comes with some rolls too, since that's what most people do buy.
There's an external site called Midasbuy that's officially endorsed and you can top up there instead of in the app store, possibly cheaper, but I think what they sell is mostly gem packs and the value can be bad, generally the in-game packs are better value.

My current team is Grave RapiRH RH Nihil and Helm
I'll admit that I neglected hard mode for too long but I was able to push from ch28 to 32 in like 10 days
But Mirror Container is literally impossible with my team since it doesn't have any elec unit. So I removed Nihil and started using Cinderella. I made progress but it's wasn't enough
