I know Toby has a hard on for this idea he has for some crazy ending and is in love with this game he's making, and the game is cool so far, but I genuinely could not give less of a shit because I played UNDERTALE first and that's the game that really captured me. DR is supposed to be a "parallel story" or some shit, but I haven't really seen anything in the game to warrant that title. You could probably rip out all the UT characters and have the entire game be a separate entity. The only reason he didn't do that is that since it's not really UNDERTALE 2 no one would care.

We've seen both Susie and Noelle bleed, so far. I'm still not sold on the idea of the red soul being some main character thing, since Chara stole it from us in Undertale if that's what you want to go off of. The theoretical camera also isn't always on us, seen by the fact that we can more or less astral-project to view what other people are doing. I really think the red soul is just what the players recognize from undertale and so that's what ended up being used.

Based off some earlier discussion, I can't grasp the idea of something too massive being in the bunker. If the characters are supposed to break at certain points, something like pic related would just be too far for Kris. Like, the twists CAN'T be too drastic unless something accommodates it. I.e, the "Kris was from a land of humans that got trapped into the bunker for experiments," or whatever.
Then that makes me a little worried, if people are hyping up the bunker as some super fucked thing and it isn't literally pic related or worse, they'll be disappointed. So, realistically, how do things move forward?

I just finished a new animation. It's about snowgrave Kris having a mental breakdown in his room while Sans is absolutely PLOWING Toriel in the other room. (Like the absolute bastard he is.) So Kris runs off to Castletown for comfort from Ralsei. The problem is that I don't have a name for it yet, got any suggestions?

Chapter 5 has to be Snowdin, which means the secret boss has to have the Sans/Papyrus battle mechanics of turning your SOUL blue, and having something akin to bones and Gaster Blasters and all that stuff. Since Spamton and Gerson directly connect back to Mettaton and Undyne directly, Chapter 5's secret boss must be a character that is directly linked to Sans and Papyrus.

I think kris having a savepoint says that he tried to go through all of this before and wasn't able to cut it without us. I think us being the angel makes sense, but I think that still plays into us being a driving force as well. this is toeing the line of being too meta I think but at the same time I believe toby could handle it in a way that feels naturally but if we dont pick up and play the next chapter the story literally does not progress, thats kind of along the lines of what I think because a lot of tobys early inspiration came from the players role in making an rpg happen, how if you just didn't continue playing the game the bad things wouldn't have happened . I think the SOUL is the culmination of that idea and he did a test run of it with undertale. A lot of people have pointed out that Noelle is a parallel to the type of player who hunts down secrets in the game, so she's the type who play the weird route just for fun.
Susie is a parallel to the type of player who just goes through the game casually, but becomes more attached to the characters over time. Basically, the normalfag part of the audience.
Ralsei is a parallel to the hyper-autistic player who will replay the game over and over to find a happier ending. Both Ralsei and the player have no tangible attachments to the world at the start of the game, yet their existence is inextricably tied to saving the world. Both Ralsei and the player have meta-knowledge the other characters don't, but are still utterly powerless against the forces of the narrative. This is why Ralsei doesn't stop you from doing the weird route even though he's afraid of the outcome. He also wants to see what would happen, if there's even a slight chance of things working out.
