That doesn't mean the deck is bad though. Aggro abyss, face dragon, sword are not good decks but they're all viable options to climb rank because Rune will be dead on turn 5-6 if they don't draw any lesbian, people just go quantity over quality, climb to master real fast even with 30% winrate.
If you lose point when you lose the game then things will be totally different. Pretty sure the tournament will only have portal, rune, forest and nothing else because you need to win all 4 games for max reward and there's only one chance.

Puppet has pretty much no consistent way of winning a match outside of orchis. It is the biggest flaw in the deck and the one everyone always talks about.

Basic puppet has 1 orchis. Which means most of your matches, you'll play 0. So essentially you're setting out for a loss pretty much every time you click play. You need to craft your other orchis ASAP.

That said, maybe you'll win a few matches on account of bad emerald and topaz opponents.

I don't think that's actually true in 90% of cases. Someone posted winrates and most decks were still winning more going 1st. It's why most card games give the second player some sort of catch up bonus, usually +1 mana/magicka/pp/whatever.

Something I found is that decks made for Diamond don't necessarily work well in lower ranks due to the differences in the local meta. A deck made for Diamond probably is designed to beat Portal/Rune, while if you're stuck in Topaz/Ruby, half the ladder might be Sword, and you need to design your deck appropriately instead of thoughtlessly copying what Diamond players are doing.

For rune just flood the board early, try to mulligan for quickblader so your later draws aren't shit, understand what removal they have at what stage. Pre emptive Amelia super evo on turn 6 usually fucks rune pretty hard
For portal it's still a bad match up vs good players but the idea is trying to force their alouette and orchis turns with an evo then clearing with valse/samurai/phildau. Quickblader comes in on the zirconia turn, not on turn 1

I know the deck is expensive, the game just decided for me to be an abyss player since I got x2 Cerb, x3 Medusa, x1 Aragavy, and x1 Olivia naturally. I would craft Orthrus and Rage first after finishing Cerb (She is your entire wincon, x3 her) if you plan on playing Abyss, even in aggro they are necessary and for control super necessary since Orthrus evolve is clutch sometimes. Reaper and Soul Predation only work rarely off an early skeleton or late game super evo and were never worth it, plus Leah is unironically a better Soul Predation. I have never once encountered a situation where I couldn't remove the board and went "I wish I had Reaper right about now." In general I feel this would fall apart without the legendaries but maybe a budget version can work so long as you get Cerb.

Cerb IS my wincon, or at least to drop someone low enough to finish with Serpent, Balto, or some other cheap means of damage. To win with Cerb you cannot run bats, because her reanimate for (1) will resurrect them (but it doesn't resurrect ghosts, and skeletons are 0). You use Cerb by dropping her, then sending her damage pup that deals 2 damage to face on death (or healing pup if you desperately need HP to survive and can't kill the opponent) to go die from Rush, and THEN you super evo her. She will resurrect her dead pup twice, so if you use rocket before the super-evo you get 2 more rocket pups to explode on the enemy for 6 total damage to the face, + 1 more damage from her super-evo hitting something for 7 total damage. If you have a 0 cost skele in hand, drop it before her to turn it into a 3/1. If can, have memorial down and pop it for 2 ghosts on an empty board before she spawn, she will buff the 1/1's into 3/1's and they have storm to add 6 more damage. So a super-evo Cerb turn can deal 13 damage to the face in 1 turn while board clearing for 8 cost, that's why she is ridiculously strong.

Just don't. Is a massive tempo lost and the benefits is that you don't lose to Apollo evolve on magus, but most decks now can clean without it(mostly because you lost one turn for the crown).Also sometimes you REALLY FEEL having one less space on the board.

Zirconia or indomitable fighter are best drops than crown 99% of the time.

Side note: indomitable fighter can be very stupid and win games alone, don't underestimate.

Give an example, because in my experience you play her, and likely need the wards to rush down to board clear, if you don't then they likely just wipe it, a roach hand for example can clear and OTK and wouldn't care about the ward at all from my experience, Portal just Orchis and Haven would just Jeanne.

If the game drags on into the lategame once the opponent is out of super evos, or the enemy simply has a shit hand and didn't draw anything that can remove her even with a super-evo, she becomes a win condition. She won me a few games like that. It's not too common, but it sometimes happens.
