MHY can easily make hard endgame using the reactions and mechanics already in the game. They don't because people will complain.
Abuse the reaction system
Strategically place the enemies so there is some kind of structure to each floor.
Use enemies that work well together.
There are tons of ways MHY can make it hard but then it will require players to tackle the game in a new way which is something players have always hated. Kenki being "random" and having the ability to move already got players mad since they can't mindlessly unload their bursts to clear.
