I'm a killer player mainly, every other killer with a direct teleport back to hook has some sort of penalty if they do so where someone has been hooked, dredge straight up can't do it, singu can barely do it, and xeno goes hella slow for doing it. I don’t think you can really do anything about tunneling off hook but hopefully the anti slugging mechanic is actually good. Having to lay on the ground for 2 minutes feels horrible. Running the killer for 2 minutes when there’s people on the ground and there being nothing you can do about unless the killer just somehow loses you mid chase feels even worse.

Sadako's teleport is well designed because Sadako gets the consistency of chest spawns but survivors can risk holding a tape to create a safe zone so there's a trade off between survivor and killer.

Xeno's "teleport" is well designed because while it uses chest spawns the survivors get the sentry and proximity warning where a sentry can debuff xeno but doesn't outright counter them.

Dredge's teleport is badly designed because it uses locker RNG

Springtraps teleport is badly designed because it just uses chest spawns and there's no way to counter it and he always has access to it with 0 penalty and in fact gives him a buff. Being able to use the cameras is nothing like xeno tunnels being able to knock it out of crawler mode and also having a proximity warning and basically useless unless someone else is in a chase.

The entire design of Springtrap is like someone just went ''and also'' over and over where he can do everything with no drawbacks. Dumb leftover dinner design like Dracula and Vecna.

The X/X/X thing for Discordance before was for the aura highlight duration. Since it would increase the time that the aura would be shown it meant that it would be highlighted for long and you wouldn't know if that gen was still being worked on by 2 people even if they left while the aura was still active.

So having a lower duration was more beneficial since it would enter the cooldown faster and show the notification again in case they were still at that generator.

For killer you probably want at least 1 anti-gen perk, something that either blocks or regresses generator progress and 1 aura reading so you can find survivors. But you can feel free to experiment.

Survivor really depends on your playstyle but there's a lot of good base perks you don't need to prestige a character to get like Deja Vu, Resilience, We'll Make It, Kindred. In the current meta it's pretty hard to play without an exhaustion perk (gives you a speed burst) so you'll probably want to level Meg for Sprint Burst or Feng for Lithe first on survivor.

for killer the best pickups for perks would be artist, clown, plague. one of the most common generic killer builds probably looks something like pain resonance-pop goes the weasel-corrupt intervention-brutal strength, which perks belong to artist-clown-plague-trapper
this alone will take you very far on pretty much any killer, with more specific and niche builds you can find and use in time

Felt like dwight was speedhacking and it got to a point where even his team just stopped playing and he was vaulting my blocked off vault. Devs have said they're balancing around a 60% killrate, but in reality they're balancing around a 50% killrate while hoping the 10% buffer is enough to account for the amount of kills gained by survivors throwing matches for their team. My guess is that 10% is not near enough, and average killrates will be dropping below 50%.

How to fix the Slugging issue -
Make it so that when a survivor is saved due to a pallet/flashlight/cracker/locker/leland, they have Deep Wounds, Mangle and Haemmorage.
The Survivor gets an escape but is now weaker and there is extra time before they reset back to full. The killer 'chasing down the prey' now also becomes a bit more of a threat due to mangle/haemo cucking progress

This makes the downside of going for a hook (Getting stunned and healing the survivor a stage) a lot less bad by introducing a bunch of slowdown.

In other words if "survivor" is at 50% winrate because solos are at 40% and SWFs are at 60%, you can't touch the two separately. The devs are currently trying to balance two separate games(SWFs vs killer, solos vs killer) with the same cudgel and it's not working.
The only way to do it is to neuter the SWF advantage by giving solos voice chat. Then instead of

you get
>Survivors 55% WR
>Solos 50% WR

After you have minimized the gap as far as it will go, you can properly balance survivor as a whole. Shit like letting survivors see what actions their teammates are doing was a step in the right direction to minimizing the communications gap.
