Bricked? No, but we're only in set 1 and there's a significant chance that set 2 completely revamps the meta since the card pool will basically double in size. I'm not using a single vial until we see what is effectively the second half of the opening card pool. Most of the crafts in the game feel half-finished and super underbaked, but the ones that are ass or have undersupported archetypes could very well get cards that completely change how we perceive what's playable.
What legendaries are you crafting? D-Climb will probably stand the test of time in some form because we're not going to stop getting spells and it's just a ton of value that scales well with big threats. Anne and Grea are good now but more efficient options may come in the future. Kuon is a good finisher and can make a sticky board in a pinch, but we're basically at the cap of his usefulness. Dirt Rune could become the better deck if it gets some stellar options in the next set, and there's almost no crossover in the types of legendaries Spellboost and Dirt want.

If you've got 2 Kuon you make make due. 3 D-Climb is pretty important for the deck, but it depending on how relevant fast aggro is next set it may not be favored if it doesn't get much new support of its own. Anne and Grea is just great value right now, but might not be as important going forward.

That's just how playing against turbo aggro works in card games. Dragon is just the only craft that can run a true low-the-ground aggro plan right now. Abyss is missing a bunch of the Blood cards that would enable such a thing, Forest is a combo deck that some people misunderstand as weenie aggro because you generate fairies, and Sword has to play for the midgame because most of its strong plays are actually focused on building a sturdy board of buffed up shitters until you can Albert.
Dragon has the most Storm and the best instant face damage.

It throws up direct damage to face using Acid Golem, Crimson Sorceries, Magisa, and eventually just kills you outright with Forbidden Darkmage. It also played an excellent early-mid control game by popping up wards, answering threats with targeted damage, and limiting how much damage they could take at once. You need 3 Anne and 3 D-Climb, but you can get by on 2 Kuon. The deck is expensive as shit because it wants all of Rune's legos in multiples. It really ate Earth Sigil Rune's slice of the pie in set 1.
That said, I wouldn't bother. It's probably the best deck right now but those are a lot of resources to commit to a deck that will either radically change or shift in meta placement in about 2 weeks.

Almost nothing sticks on the board for more than 1 turn max in the current environment and those spellboosts won't always be relevant anyway. It isn't Kuon that's busted, but the shell around him. Unironically yes. Those little nudges of storm damage that take multiple turns to set up aren't going to do dick to pressure a Rune deck. You'll score 2 damage and then they'll remove that shit for basically free and you'll be left without threats to buff in the late game.
In that matchup, you need to set up your card draw and removal early so that you don't fall into early lethal range. You need to make them get to turn 10 to kill you are you're fucked.

It's not the amount of cards, but how they were designed. Literally every class does the "I drop big guy with storm and do a lot of damage in the late game". Kuon, Orchis, Cerberus etc. They were so uncreative in giving each their own flair and playstyle. Swapping class to play something else it still feels like I'm doing the exact same things. Aggro dragon may be lucky enough to win before the D-shifts begin, but even then you may get bricked if they roll into Anne - Kuon going 2nd or the dreaded Anne - Anne - Kuon. Not to mention deleting your board by turn 5 with that spellcaster drop anyways. The ONLY way to beat Rune is if they get the worst draws possible for themselves, which is hard considering the amount of card draw they have.

Anne isn't bad on her own, she is bad because she is on Rune. Rune honestly doesn't need many changes, Kuon to 8 and removing the heal from that one spell is enough. The class would be a fuck ton fairer to face if they didn't heal up early damage AND hit late game sooner than you. Anything else would be a cherry on top.

Less that I'm optimistic and more that it's just clear this is how they went about designing the game intentionally. It gives them more room to adapt to player reactions and fill out crafts in different ways if they need to.
Having similar play patterns in the early life of a game allows for easier familiarity across the card pool. It also makes it so that differences in strategy relevance and representation doesn't lead to incredibly swingy meta games where you just get fucked because you ran into X or Y instead of Z. There's no sideboarding or deck switching, so a deck being built to cover a wider field is much tougher with such a limited card pool. If hyper aggro with lots of early threats was more relevant, then you'd be stuck trying to account for that while the build-a-board or late-game haymaker decks get to run roughshod on you. There's no room for "I'm seeing a lot of X, so I'll queue up with Y" within the first set release with only this many cards because you won't see a lot of X. You'd see X, Y, and Z in roughly equal measure if they're balanced anywhere close to equal.

This has largely been my experience. Maybe I'm just farming shit players, but early pressure makes people sweat and forces trades they don't want. They get real cagey once they're down to ~12 HP, I'm still dropping storms, and Forte could be right around the corner. Sure, I hit games where they go Anne - Anne - Kuon and there's not much I can do about it, but it happens so rarely to me that I'm not going to change things up just to fight a losing battle.
