The other day I played a match against Thing and Hulk, Iron Fist, Punisher, Loki, Adam, my team had a similar comp and for a brief moment the game felt fun again. There were no insanely OP characters and it was a very close game.
Right after playing that I queued the next match and it was back to the same meta hell, hawkguy, winter soldier, hela, luna, dagger, IW, BP, wolverine, spidermans up the ass and I quit right then and there for the night.

It sucks that you have to choose between Banning Hawkguy, Winter Soldier, Wolverine, Hela, Storm in Competitive.
This is unironically why I quit playing at Plat II the beginning of this season. Not that I couldn't climb anyway but because its just such a disgustingly shitty situation, like if you ban one you have to deal with the other.

The worst part is that 4 of these characters have been overtuned for months and storm only gets banned because of the broke ass teamups they keep giving the character that make it a no brainer ban unless you have a good composition with evasive movement but trying to roll randoms in a team that can evade the giant death tornado is more rare than getting good supports.

This is why comp died, you literally have to play one or two of these characters and it becomes even more apparent the higher you climb

The rest of the roaster doesn't even come that close, in fact most of the roaster are only good if a team composition are playing to their strengths unlike the good compositions that improve a team syngergy and as for the outliers I mentioned they're goat'd right out the gate.

Jeff and Rocket reworks make sense in the frame of mind of a QP/Gold match where the team says "We need 2 healers" and whoever should be able to work. Old Jeff and Rocket were under the design philosophy of "Strategists, not Healers" which is my preference, but I also think it would have been better if the game worked like the reveal trailer where the team-up anchor had a button to push to enable their partner.
