Decided to send a few Muspah kills with the new elemental update and really enjoying the twinflame staff on his melee phase. Within 4 attacks he had typically phased back and there were even a few times I phased him on one hit!
I had previously slogged through 100 bowfa only kills (no defense reducing spec weapon) and probably averaged around 4-4:30 min kill times. That's down to a consistent 3-3:30 now bringing a mid tier mage switch (blue moon, torm, no occult).
I previously tried swamp trident but felt it wasn't worth the hassle. Definitely worth bringing a mage switch now though, check it out!

How do you calculate the average number of kills for all drops?

Let's say a monster has a 1/300 drop and a 1/200 drop.
Is it like, 300 kills average cause that's the rarest one, or 500 cause that's just the addition of both, or something else?

Could you see a vw rework happening? The content is botted as bad as revs but vw has uses outside of the wild. The price has plummeted, real players struggle to access the content, and Jagex can't keep up with the bots. Personally I'd be in favor of making it pvp only or moving it out of the wilderness with much higher requirements.

I had an idea for an endgame upgrade for the Magus Ring and ancient magic

>blood spells now has water and earth elemental (because iron in blood) at 50% each

>this means if you're fighting a monster with earth damage such as a Mithril dragon which have a 50% earth weakness with the ring on and using blood spells which have a 50% earth damage, you would do 50% of it's 50% elemental damage, or an extra 25% damage
>this use case could be comboed with things like tomb of fire, tempest books, dragon or demon bane weapons so that you can dish out some elemental damage to monsters without making standard spells useless
>this would make something such as blood barraging mithril dragons with a dragon wand more rewarding, as well as give smoke spells some more use case by giving it the only fire elemental damage of the ancient spells
>the ring could also have a slightly higher stat bonus than Magus Ring to make it have a higher usecase than just ancients
