I was playing RT at launch but got distracted. I was a bit into act 2 when I dropped it and wanna try it again. Is the DLC worth it and should I restart my play through? I was playing an officer build but found it kinda boring.

I was so worried for this fight since I'm on grimdark unfair but Kibellah ended up blendering him on turn 2.

I positioned shield guys to absorb his turn 1 and then piled buffs on Kibellah. Can't go wrong with the classics. As Abelard would say, "Tried and true tactics are the best ones."

Eagle's damage is terrible but I see the debuff potential

Death world or forge world for a vigilant arbitrator? Death world gets the talent that gives crit chance on bleed, and vigilant arbitrators have an easy way to apply bleed. Forge world gets steel of the forge though. Also I see people talking about how int is good for shotguns. I honestly haven't used shotguns in the 30 hours or so I've played this game, are they AoE?

How's the overseer pets? Just got to the point where my warrior subductor can finally get the dog and it seems not as impactful as I hoped. Protect seems kinda not as good when it's only on enemies around my dude and they need to actually hit so blocks and parries actually give less value although I see the vision with apprehend to really focus a dude down and I haven't tested other dog specific abilities yet. Problem I'm running into is just how darn squishy the little guy is. Granted not THAT squishy(HP of a warrior with non-unique medium armor) but since he's sitting beside a 70% armor shield man in the middle of a lot of bullets it's not exactly easy for him to keep upright. I'm assuming with the class talents I can really make the dog shine, but maybe I should have just gone with the sniper + eagle or psyker + raven for this run instead

The effort to get armor to make you take 0 damage is the same no matter the difficulty (actually pretty easy btw) but it's harder to make it feel less metagamey since you can just become immune to attacks which is lame and homo

The hit chance for her bolt pistol was 95% btw. So apparently some cover sprang up when she aimed with her rifle, then receded when she swapped to her pistol, then sprang up again when she switched back to her rifle.

Dang, Single Shot and Deadeye Shot don't interact for the purposes of stacking Versatility stacks. I'll have to swap and shoot the pistol in burst mode every turn...

But Dashing around the map swapping shooting a sniper rifle and a pistol at far/near targets is pretty cool. my last playthrough Argenta was on bolter/lasgun duty for the entire game so I'm trying to mix it up.

Divine Dismissal sounds perfect for you, it's an earth breaker that lets you cast greater dispel magic at will with a CL equal to your character level. Combine with Destructive Dispel and Legend (40 class levels) for great hilarity. Martials also benefit greatly from it. Something as simple as Two Handed Fighter 20 Demonslayer Ranger 20 would be terribly amusing.

Overseer? It's a pet class. It depends on how you access the class but basically each of the pet supplements a different playstyle and functions kinda differently. The dog for example has a lot of follow-up triggers with each of its stances and can take a decent beating(basically an unoptimized medium armor character) while the raven focuses on basically extending the psyker's range by spreading single-target buffs/debuffs and adding more tools to the psyker's kit.

I went skeletal marksman then fighter for my skelebuddy using heavy crossbows. Found one that does a bunch of sonic enemy-only AoE, he gets 4-5 attacks per round. It's not going to get to bow/thrown or melee levels because there's no scaling on any attribute for damage, but I enjoy it a lot.
Next playthrough I'm going to respec Seelah to the ranged paladin and be crossbow (plus some rogue stuff per her background maybe)

So I was looking at the different Mythic paths. I blocked myself out of Lich and Aeon (those don't line up with my alignment anyway), so I think I will go with Azata or Trickster since I'm currently chaotic good. I like the idea of having a dragon pet but Trickster abilities look beyond broken. Giving yourself cleric domains / spellbook or a wizard spellbook on top of a mythic spellbook seems completely busted. First time playing so I haven't seen it much in practice but still. then there are the abilities that add extra magical attributes on treasures you find or turning all 1 rolls to 20.
