And I'll stress it's not even a bad account. I can play Artifact and Forest just fine and I made both decks. The average player is at about 100 packs right now, which is about 13 legends on average. You might have like 7 more between legend packs, starter deck and chests. At a normal distribution it's actually more likely than not that you can't build one of the expensive decks even if you funnel all resources to one place. Portal is extremely realistic in this scenario even if you don't get a good seed for it but the odds of being able to complete Rune or Abyss is actually statistically unlikely

It's hard to pilot and strictly weaker than every other class. Some of the best cards in the class punch you in the dick as a cost which just ends up making them liabilities because you have no vengeance or any kind of pay off for doing that despite being half vampire. Dealing with wide requires you to know the most optimal way to do it and you'll still end up blowing way more cards than they spent to set up in the first place. All of the little necromancy in the class just feels mediocre when other classes drop just as powerful effects with even less set up. Cerberus is a great card but requires set up to get any kind of actual value out of and often forces you to make the most suboptimal trades known to man if you are in a position where you had an established board and need to clear instead of hit face AND she forces you to just not have access to the already limited card pool because any bat card is just going to make her worse unless you're the luckiest person alive.

That said, if I can drop her on 8 I usually win and getting her back and then playing the bird or jannu is great.
On the other hand, if you get to play Lapis you are probably in a good position and/or you went 2nd and dropped her on 7 which means you have the advantage anyway.

The real problem with haven is no 1 drop, and nothing good to play for tempo before turn 5 when you evo Salefa or priest. >>528895198The early play of haven is not really problematic. For 1 drop you play the draw amulet. For 2-3pp you spam tigers / wards. The main problem with haven is that the end game is completely shit show, the only thing you can really do is control the board with nukes, but you don't really have any good ways to establish a win con, unless the opponent stops playing. The 4/4 bird amulets are very good setup, but you realistically never have time to play them unless opponent's deck bricked so they become mostly 6pp storm clutches. There's some scary 4pp drops like Reno and Priest, but realistically again, every craft has something to instantly clear any of your followers and get rewarded bunch of followers on their own board for it.

1. Trade with followers you just put into play, go face with followers that remained on the board from the last turn. Not always the correct play but is most of the time.
2. Read your cards, don't put your "fanfare summon 3 knights" card on a board with 3 followers.
3. Look at your deck and find your win condition. In game work toward it, for rune it's the dclimb shit for example, what works toward it? Spellboosting. For forest it's the roach so they need enough combo and a way around wards, etc etc. If it's a deck with multiple wincons like artifact it's harder to play at first but you just need to practice.
4. Try to trade at an advantage, 2 for 1 at least. A boosted William board wipe is more efficient than a 7 mana Kuon evo for trading, for example.
5. Once you learn the decks you go against you should anticipate them having some cards and play around them, or take a risk and gamble on them not having it if the situation calls for it.
6. Plan your turns 1 turn ahead at least after you get comfortable with the basics, you wouldn't want to get surprised and just sit there trying to think up a plan B on the spot.
7. Keep the +1PP in mind both when you go second and when your opponent does.
8. You are now a fundies GAWD.
