Are there any concept designs that people are particularly sad didn't get chosen as the final one?
I know some people are fond of some of the Ui variants, but in general I think they've done a pretty good job at picking the best designs - I know sometimes when I've seen concept art batches the devs feel like they've went out of their way to pick the worst one, but I really can't see many cases where the choice has been bad, even if I like some of the alternatives.

Kasumi is one of my favorite designs and I was shocked to see how much I disliked the only slightly different variations in there.
Similar deal with Makoto - not a leggings man but the thigh highs on her just don't work.
All the different Ibuki's looked great though, even if I think we probably still got the best one.

The only thing I wish was different is I really like the other Koyuki pose with her having her hands on her hips. I think it fits her boundless confidence better. Meru pose was the worst of the options too, but that's about it.

I like the third one too, hard to say without seeing the finished product but I like the composition and how uncluttered that one is - first doesn't show off her moe sleeve enough and I'm not a huge fan of the angle. I will give it credit for doing the best job at angling things so it actually looks like she's doing what a child would do and have the plush toys being taught, the middle ones angle has them look a bit too much like props for the players benefit rather than an audience like the first one manages to convey.
They're all good though, in their own ways.

No, limited students can only be rolled on limited banners - the only exception being blufes units which are available on all blufes banners, even if NOT rated up.
The rate up "just" means that on average you'll get twice as many 3*s when rolling, it's a fantastic chance to build the foundations of a roster as a newfag though.

The actual gameplay aspect doesn't matter at all and you pretty much never need to grind if you're just here to collect.
It's not the kind of game that has huge focus on gameplay, but you definitely can get nasty with the autism minmaxxing if youd like to (I do, and it is fun)

It's a voice acted VN based off the Disney movies (very lightly just concepts, but they are real figures in canon, kek) with some light gameplay but mostly card collecting.
You do some stuff for your students like leveling up, but tests and etc are not at all limited to gems. So you can just log in once a day really and you're done. takes the same amount of time as BA does.
You can log in every 5 hours and do lessons quickly like headpatting, but you can just never do it if you don't want to.

Whether it be the designs doing it off the bat or needing an event. The only times they've struggled have been Red Winter events, where the early ones generally made some of the characters too annoying without much of a redeeming quality up to and including the Meru one, though the ones after that were great.
