i believe aggro is actually hit-count based and not damage based in NR. It's why ironeyes always being targeted is a meme and why Guardian can actually semi-hold aggro if he manages to land his whole extended duration character skill on a boss often.

Guardian is in a game with a guy who can eat any attack and fist it back alongside having good hyperarmor values and tailored dmg negation buffs.
Guardian is in a game with a Sekiro crucible knight with pretty lenient deflect frames that stagger on impact, who can also turn into a giant beast with a ton of HP that also acts as a full heal and safe attacks including one that heals his HP back while in the form, ON TOP of having S arcane.
and yet guardian can last the longest on the battlefield if you have S-Tier relics. The main problem isn't his compeition but the fact his niche only excels in a team that keeps jobbing as he's basically there to save the day and let everyone else do their job. His most powerful attacks are literally the enemies attacks when you reflect them back

It's good with his ult but Guardian's sub and ult both revive teammates instantly. Beast form can roar spam to revive and then go back to spamming r1 until it's l2 time so yeah I mean it's a really good ult. People kept hating on beast form because of the low damage per hit, but if you really think about all it can do, it's great. Just don't use it in lingering hitboxes and if you use it in Heolstor phase 3 just roar a lot.

There's a soulless demigod mummy near the Black Knife Assassin in Noklateo that you can duplicate any weapon at. It's fun if you want to dual wield something or have a stackable passive you want more of, or want to give a weapon to another player. I feel like Fulghor would be buffed if his explosive greatbow attack actually tracked his target instead of just remain at the initial position. Then his target would either HAVE to dodge/block/deflect properly or die, and everyone else would have to stay far away to avoid meeting the same fate.

i'm pretty sure it wouldn't be roll-able if it had perfect tracking at all times. the projectile is ridiculously fast but isn't actually instant, and is it's own hitbox independent of the giga nuke.
if you roll the arrow, you almost certainly won't be invuln long enough to not get hit by the explosion, which is active for quite awhile and distinctly does hit at a slightly delayed time compared to the arrow impact.
also the timing for that attack is clearly designed for you to run away from it. if you couldn't run, that absurd wait before he fires would make it stupidly difficult to get used to the timing you actually would have to roll at.

A lot of character relics are mid or just sidegrades, they're not necessary

Here's my dream team: duchess + ironeye + (raider or wylder)
duchess has restage and good sorceries so that's crazy, iron eye can frankly take the position of status procer plus he has marks
raider has colossals and can face tank better than wylder cause wylder requires skill, but that fucking rock pisses me the fuck off so you know whatever.
recluse is probably one of the most redundant characters ever.
I have never suffered a lack of starlight shards as duchess or revenant.

I tested different setups on Duchess and I wouldn't spec into casting simply because it depends on getting really good staffs to drop for you.
Getting a bit more health so you don't get one-shot while spamming dagger to get the end-of-chain auto-restage is nice.
Some people use the caligo relic but I don't like that as well because it encourages staying with the starting weapon (or looking for a frost one).
In short, dagger auto-restage + improved skill relics are the best imho

For the last two hours I've been doing some research and I think I have actually have something, but bear in mind there's still lots of speculation of course.

There's THE Crucible(1), and normalized Crucible currents, which are spirals of energy that go up to the sky. The Hornsent looked at the Crucible, as all life came from the Crucible, and they wanted to control this power. Like humans looking at the sky and wanting to fly. The Hornsent used Shamans/Numen to glue Hornsent (extra divine) and other life to Enir Ilim to create an artificial Crucible that, again, they could control.

At some point, Marika becomes involved enough with the Hornsent(2) to have been at the top of Enir Ilim to assume godhood(3). She takes the Elden Beast within herself in a zenith level act of Divine Invocation and creates the Elden Ring. From there it's muddy; the "betrayal" the Hornsent Grandam refers to isn't clear. The biggest possibility is that it refers to the genocide of the Hornsent for obvious reasons, but she never outright says this.

Huuuge speculation from here: Marika turns the Crucible into the Erdtree, at some point weds Godfrey, and the two waged war against their neighbors. We know from Euporia that gold shoots (Erdtree?) can absorb the lifeforce latent within everything to revitalize itself. From Marika and Godfrey's campaigns against their neighbors, it's possible that the Age of Plenty was a result of the Erdtree having a lot of dead things to absorb. The evidence for this is the fact that, in the Land of Shadow (cont.)

(1) May or may not have been the Scadutree, may or may not have been created by Metyr (her spiral Finger tails)

(2) May or may not have sold out her fellow shamans so that she could get in position to take power

(3) Where the precedence for this comes from isn't clear. Rauh has the giant statues of that woman, who may have been a shaman/Numen god to them, and perhaps the Hornsent got the idea to make their own god from them.
