I'm setting up to play Awakening for the first time (on Citra) and is there really no mod that fixes the voiceover switching back to English in the US version? Cause I encountered that bug right away just testing screen positioning. I'd rather deal with whatever eurokek shit the EU version has than this if that's the case. Also what's the over/under on AAHD/AA3D mods? They seem fine to me but I've never played the game so I wouldn't know if their textures look wrong. AAHD is also not compatible with EU versions and the equivalent EU mod has been abandoned for 5 years.

But to suggest Soren to a guy who hasn't played in 4 years, Soren takes a lot of strategy to pull off. Man, none of CYL7 were dominant when they released and so they fell off quick. Soren's weapon effect gives him an evergreen niche but the value is dependent on other units around him. So I get what you're saying in choosing Soren but he has a high floor that it's not illogical to gamble on the refines on the other units.

I don't understand how Rearmed and Attuned units work and I have none to test with. I get that I can inherit off the Arcane weapon of the rearmed, but does it basically do a separate inheritance of just the weapon and remove their mark, or does the unit simply avoid being consumed a single time and lose the rearmed mark? Engage is such a letdown man. Sure I should have started the game on Hard, but even so I really don't see why people suck it's dick so much; I loved TH and it has been my favorite FE, but even shit like Fates Conquest is so much more fun and the story is at least funny to laugh at.
I don't see a drastic improvement over the maps TH had, I just got Veyle and I guess the most memorable map is the fog of war one where you fight the masochist linked with Celica. The music is good but so many fucking maps use the same song; it gets old fast.
The absolute worst thing tho is the fucking Somniel. Even if it is maybe a 1/3 the size of the monastery, I just feel the game grinds to a halt when I go back to get resources/use the arena/cook, etc
