Xichun Ish is fine at clashing. Her S1 is average, S2 below average and S3 above average. To compensate, the conditional on her S2 is easy to activate (only need 4 rupture) and gives +1 coin power (which on a 4 coin skill, lets her clash above average). It also helps that she gains offense level which enhances clashing.

That's just not true. The amount of +% damage he can get is insane, comparable to FS Heath's S3 and it has high attack weight on top of that. The damage looked mediocre when El Director ran him because he's retarded and kept using it without against single targets when its an AOE. I don't think Gubosang is great but his S3 seems fine, the problem to me seems to be that his poise generation is pretty ass, that he will take a while to collect Torn Memory and that his S1/S2 are underwhelming.

Are any of these like super urgent for sharding? The only team I can't run (a good team) is Tremor I think, since I only have Lob Faust, T Don, D20 Hong, Rose Rodya and Molar outis as useable units, so I'm thinking Muersalt or Ishmael.

Liu Yi Sang is one of the best burn units in the entire game. Like he's a mainstay in any burn team no matter what units you decide to run +10 SP every turn is crazy
Though you can also get meur cuz he fits tremor and burn + is just a great ID overall

more like parts 1 and 2 had some interesting set up and plot and part 3 dropped the ball super hard. n corp were jobbers, jia mu had set up but not real emotional payoff because hong lu just kinda...got over it; she was also a morphing raptor with a worm on her back, they showed a bunch of sick groups converging that we ignored and then the rest of the cast were essentially disappeared.

For MD you wanna focus on "how many times does this ID proc burn" so like:
LiuSang, Dawnclair, FFgreg, LiuRodya(+EGO), Liu Ish, Cinq Don, Leisault/Shootis

For Story you just wanna put Shootis on #1, possibly replace one of the liu girls/don with ABS faust(ofc slot them on #8 so they can join as soon as she dies) and you're good to go

Liu Sang & Firefirst Greg apply so much damn burn its kind of absurd
"Core" burn units like Dawnclair, Shootis and Lei Heng are your main focus tho
Dawnclair needs Yi Sangs passive up to be consistently viable but absolutely blitzes any other ID in terms of application.
Leisault performs perfectly fine alone but his usefulness skyrockets if you can get Capote ut4 (super cheap ego filled to the brim with burn procs)
Shootis kinda needs her EGO to remain viable but once she has her EGO passive she's up there with dawnclair for #1 burn application

Honorable mention to Liu Ish + ABS passive letting her apply absurd levels of burn globally (and it all procs ego gifts) though its a pretty costly EGO compared to something like meur capote so its not really spammable.

I love that JUST Firefist Greg and Liu Yi Sang can carry your team's burn. I use the two of them and the rest of my team is tremor with Meursault and Sinclair and I can put out high amounts of both tremor and burn. Love them not to mention Yi Sang's added utility of constant SP healing.

I still use Liu Ryoshu in my MD speedrun team because she's really cute

Outis is because she has darkflame and allows your burn team to have more burst damage although I guess Leisault and Sinclair can help with that too now, which is always nice to have more options. I think her EGO is important, but she is not entirely useless without it, just a bit weaker. You definitely wanna have it if you can though.

Dark Flame is one of 2 ways currently to bypass the 99 max damage per turn cap burn struggles with

And Outis does a damn good job at applying it. BUT she does need EGO to do it consistently
Her EGO lets her stack 4-5 bullets in a single use with proper resonance (anyres) and is in general just a versatile skill with 7 uses

The part of it that matters is the passive, letting her proc 2 same turn dark flame on skill1 and 2 (or up to 7 burn per coin)
Her base kit only has next turn dark flame application and stops gaining bullets (or applying any flame) on skill 2 past the 4th bullet so the EGO is required to fix that

I kinda hoped Gubosang would do that since Gubo was bleed and sinking, but he doesn't from what it seems. The fact that you could reliably and get Capote up by turn 2 is insane for what it does to your tremor and burn piles.

You could add her if you want to. Honestly, the team is very flexible because the main appliers are Yi Sang, Greg, and Meursault. Anyone else you wanna add is a bonus.

I would argue adding magic bullet Outis has some benefits aside from dark flame. She would make it easier for Sinclair to feed bullets to Meursault due to having so much pride. You could replace Sinclair, you could replace Hongers either if you don't wanna have reverb around although I like both since having him burst both reverb and scorch at the same time is really fun.

Finished my double dip run testing the new Thumb Ids on floor 10, Thumbclair is surprisingly strong and meursault is fairly complex, I wonder if you can get the Overheat buff after wasting the last savage bullet and then recharging it with clair passive, didnt manage to pull it off.
Hengsault feels really expressive to use as well, sadly we will never need to use the whole kit until canto IX or RR since the battles are just too short for you not to switch to Savage bullets as soon as possible, if at all, since you can raw dog it with the default S3 just fine.
