evasion is actually pretty common, you can even get it on a ring. It's why the best way to deal magical damage is ranged touch attacks because it doesn't allow a save and the good (conjuration) spells usually don't allow SR either.

I dropped my first playthrough after escaping Commorragh for a few different reasons (one being I missed recruiting Ulfar). I played before the DLCs were out. If I buy the season pass 1 now can I add the DLCs in a satisfying way and experience them or should I just restart from scratch with both added?

It's really the ultimate challenge in the D&D realm. There is nothing else out there. No other game, definitely not the newest release, and no other Baldurs Gate 2 mod either. SCS simply doesn't cut it if you are looking for a challenge.

That's the hardest fight in the game. No, I'm not joking, that fight the Anvers is genuinely the only challenging fight in the entire game, especially on Unfair, since the Thunder Hammer guy can one shot your dudes and the flamers are actually threatening as well. You actually have to use real strategy on that fight. Sadly it's the only one of its kind in the entire game and will prove to be more interesting and challenging than late game Necrons and Tyranids are.

The final fight on Heartless was brutal, the whole fight Abelard stood blocking five attacks per turn with his shield, not sure how you can live without him at all

That only happens if you don't use your dialogue options to get the Humans to side with you anyways, which is pretty rare, since Dogmatics can do it and Iconoclasts will simply avoid the fight altogether. So only Heretic runs would actually see the full fight, and nobody plays Heretic.

I like Solomon, he's definitely not DLC material but it's nice to have someone who respects and obeys you rather than treating you like a nobody like most companions do

Her romance has separate paths so if you want her "best" ending you'll have to follow a guide. Especially with her because a lot of her dialogue response that sound "right" can end up giving you flags you don't want.

No, those were released 2 years ago. I seriously doubt it's some GW conspiracy here, this isn't tied to anything tabletop related. GW doesn't do cross promotions anyway, Titus low effort and ugly mini was the most they have done. Owlcat announced this dlc before game released, Fatshark decided to make Arbites separately as an excuse to reuse Sienna Necromancer NPC system for a pet class and also allowed them to rework underused Mauls and Shotguns.
Admittedly Kill Team is a nice source of cool minor factions and concepts. Dark Heresy will clearly use accursed cultists (mutating ones, they show up in trailer when Kroot flashes her cake), Kroot and Eldar Corsairs from it at least. Nightlord enemies will be most likely taken from it as well. Navy Breachers are from it too.

Why was previous thread utterly purged?

TLDR: 6.5/10 quite mid DLC, Solomon is boring, companion pets are okay, reactivity leaves much to be desired, new bosses are fun, Overseer is fun

Okay so I made it all the way to Act 5 with Solomon. Played everything Lex Imperialis had to offer, and I have to say it was disappointing. Compared to Void Shadows quality, this new DLC is pretty weak. Solomon introduction was that interesting or shocking as Kibbles introduction, I wasn't very excited to meet the Adeptus Arbites companion at all.
Solomon’s personality is flat, boring even, and sorely lacks the nuance or inner conflict that made companions like Pasqal and Argenta stand out. His VA isn't that great either, he is just a generic white guy with a black paint job.
When compared to Kibbles he gets overshadowed greatly, "Domin".
His companion quest is equally underwhelming, offering few surprises and little in the way of emotional or thematic payoff. His reason to spy on you are simple "I was told to do so", again no personality. There is barely any reactivity from other companions on his quest and doesn't integrate very well with the main story. It was too short to or felt like that, since most of the time Solomon was gone doing who knows what and he just shows up later.
Despite all that, the new encounters were fun but not very challenging, I liked the first boss the most.
My thoughts on the Overseer class, It's fun but not viable in higher difficulties. This game is designed around rolling initiative first and nuking everyone on the screen before it gets a chance to act and do the same to you. Tanks are not useful at all, and the shield doesn't make them survive long either.
The Coomrag torture for Solomon was fine tho.

Even reactivity seems significantly down in this DLC compared to Void Shadows, and the Tyranid storyline was 100x more compelling and interesting than what we got in Lex Imperialis. Time will tell I suppose. I will say to anons who haven't started a replay yet to wait until future DLC is out because man Lex by itself absolutely does not warrant a replay of RT.

Let's say you take the latter option, what happens after this is that the Eldar are bumrushed by lower deckers and killed anyway, which highlights the entire problem with how this is written.

The writer has decided that Yrliet needs to be traumatized and sad about both the fate of her people and the cruel, uncaring mon'keigh that victimize them, and they will get that result no matter what, but they don't do so organically, they don't reach this desired conclusion in a way that makes sense. Let's go over all the problems with this contrived scenario: The Eldar would almost certainly never take this deal to begin with, it is nonsensical and insane for them to go on a ship where best case scenario they will be eaten by Slaanesh on the journey through the warp. But let's say the RT is just THAT good at persuasion, or the Eldar are THAT desperate. Is the RT a fucking retard? Why does he not put security in place or simply make sure nobody knows they're on his ship to begin with? And third, how the FUCK are Craftworld Eldar getting bumrushed and killed by a bunch of lower decker scum when they would EASILY overpower thousands of them?

All of these problems are ignored and they just die anyway because the writer has decided that it is going to happen no matter what, and so it does. Very hamhanded, very inorganic, very BAD writing. And this is typical of Yrliets content in general.

The best damage type in Underrail is energy. But the only thing that can deal a fuck ton of it is the Fusion Cannon, Temporal Distortion stacking, Plasma Beam, or a Plasma Pistol. I've seen meme dex versatility builds that make the Laser Pistol into a fucking machine gun, but it's not up to my taste. Cold is the second best and would be first if the Cyroliquid Pistol dealt just it. Acid and Lightning would be higher if there weren't enemies with full resistance to it. Their debilitating effects are far more worth it than the damage though and cold can freeze most enemies so it takes the crown there.

I feel the need to create the perfect all arounder. I've done most melee weapons, most guns, a psion, an arbalist, and a Heavy Weapons spammer. The closest I've come to that is a dedicated war crimes build.

I'm thinking of having a plasma in one and a chemical in the other. Feats are more or less the same. No psi because psi dipping is cancer and for faggots. Seems like it'll start a bit spread out if I try to do both at once but eh.

I did just fine with almost same amount of dex you see for chemical pistols since nothing resists most of the damage. Strength is at 5 for steadfast aim to make plasma pistol almost always crit against enemies without aimed shot. What's the secret to making Jae good? Cold Trader's Acumen is a strong talent and of course officer is a strong class, but she does by far the least damage in the party (even behind pasqal who is full support strategist) and I'm already an officer and my abilities are a lot more impactful than hers (higher Fel and more focused talent selection). She's not even the best skillmonkey either, Pasqal still has her beat on the important ones like Logic and Tech Use, and other people cover Athletics, Demolition, and the various Lores. She legitimately is not better than anyone at anything, and she's not even a jack of all trades either since half of them cover several things too. And she has the lowest damage by far.

I gave her dual pistols but that was bad, I gave her a sniper and that was bad, I gave her a shield+melee+pistol and that was bad. I also gave her a dot build with the dual toxin pistols but she was worse at that than any of the archmilitants doing the same the same thing. She legit has no real home from what I can tell. She's a worse officer than pure officer, she's a worse damage dealer than any actual combat class, and she's a worse skillmonkey than the tech priest.

Completed my second full playthrough of Aielund, as a heavily CHA-based Paladin 11 / Champion of Torm 26 playing on whatever the minimum difficulty is because I'm a wuss.
This time I had a pretty smooth ride compared to the first one, which was a monk.
