New event when?

Haven feels obsolete as a concept, haven feels like a year 1 while the meta feels like 5 years of powercreep has set in.

It's super obvious the philosophy of haven is to plant a big shield on a card and keep then there to protect you as you safely attack the opponent and doing burst dmg occasionally with the amulets.

But the powercreep is so massive that style of play is impossible, a big shield is worthless cards die too easily, bane makes it impossible, Phil makes it impossible so many cards that insta kill other cards regardless of their hp is too normal.

So haven is forced to scramble around and panic as they get punched in the face toss out aoe nonstop in hopes of surving and going full aggro and trying to kill as soon as possible before they die because if they stall then satan gets summoned and you WILL die.

It just makes no sense.
Early game haven is shit mid game heaven is shit and late game heaven is shit.

I've been playing Haven and it's on the weaker half but there's no fucking way it's as bad as Ramp or Abyss. Portal match up is basically free and having even one good match up against the top tiers is huge. Only forest is really bad to go against

This is not the intended playstyle at all and if you play it like this it explains why you lose so much
Wards mostly to stop storm cards, of course ward followers can be removed but the PP they use to remove it mean they usually can't remove your ward AND play a storm follower so it still protects you even if it gets removed because it means they couldn't play a card that would've hit your face. This is why even Bellringer Angel is enough to prevent a lethal Gundam play.
The bigger wards force the enemy to deal with them but have additional effects on top of their ward, like Maeve bringing back an amulet (usually Unholy Vessel)
Haven isn't top tier but it's not a weak class either, most of its matchups are like 4-6 or 6-4, probably the most balanced class so far

Abyss has some of the best legendaries in the game, the problem is every other rarity, their bronze, silver and gold cards are decent at best.
It's hard to imagine Aragavy, Medusa and Cerberus getting outclassed any time soon though, those cards will be played for a long time

Portalbros I need some advice. I'm playing a hybrid deck and usually struggle on what to fuse my artifacts into so I don't clog my hand. In general I usually go Beta first for Rune/Haven/Abyss/Mirror and Gamma for Sword and Alpha for Dragon (99% face, I have not seen a ramp Dragon in a week). But then for the 2nd fuse that's where I get stumped. If I make Gamma for board control, then I end up not having enough damage come T8/9 to close the game, but if I go Beta and then don't draw into Orchis/Ralmia then I'm kinda fucked and can't make the Gundam as a backup on T10. Basically should I focus on making Betas to hit face ASAP or go for Gamma if it give me more board control and a backup plan?

It is why haven has so many big meaty wards, obviously you cannot play that way in the current meta because as I stated haven feels like a year 1 deck while every other deck feels like a 5+ years of powercreep.

Where once a big hefty ward would stall the enemies in their tracks it does nothing now because enemies can bypass it at little to no resources.
There are too ways to counter it.

So now people are forced to twist haven into this sort of twisted version of itself like a more janky and shitter version of the roach deck to hope to survive while hoping they dont die by turn 5 so they can start spamming their aoes.

Forest match up is worse than Rune match up. Rune match up is heavily luck on both sides and you sometimes randomly open Mainyu Darkhaven when they have no answers.

Forest kills fast enough that many of your cards are still offline when they double Bayle through your wards and OTK you. You really can't put the pressure on board fast enough to force out their resources

Buffs +2 the whole board so if there's anything there or the spirit amulet that's a lot of free damage. For the first cerberus you can also very easily pick if you want 6 damage and 2 heal or 6 heal and 2 damage. Goes to 9/9 which puts her beyond the reach of a lot of things like orchis denying the 1 damage chip. Pretty much clears board and/or leaves puppies on board for next turn which add a lose/lose situation for the opponent spending resources on them or leaving them up to get hit more.

I do not think she is orchis level though.

You can easily tell that haveb players utilizing storm and turning their haven deck like a ghetto roach deck is a response to the absolute garbage meta that currently exists and the fact that haven as it was originally is obsolete.

So haven players are forced to adopt a roach mindset treating its birds like roaches without the flexibility of one.
Where if something fucks up the roach player can just delay his OTK a turn.

But haven cant do that, you cant delay amulets you cant stop them from popping, you cant set them up, you can only hope.
Jeanne boosting all the allies on field also signifies how the deck very much envisioned haven players to hide behind their massive shield wall using darkhaven amulet to get stronger at the safety of the walls to then be capable of unleashing an attack, a literal form of bulking up and attacking.

She's being made to be intentionally schizo, given how her first encounter is her crying abour how much blood she's spilt with her blade and her second one is her outright revelling in the violence.
Also she has the most forgettable face in the entire game. I can never, ever recall what Marie looks like the moment a game vs sword is over. Looks generic as hell. imo it's forest favored. you can play basically nothing turns 1-4 except removing the puppet minions, then you go wide and the puppet player can't kill five things at once so you get your damage in. then it's just normal double orchis which forest is good at killing through. imo artifact is a lot stronger vs forest than puppet is because they have actual midgame power with alouette, aoe clears, and unlimited heals.

She definitely would've been better at a lower cost with lower stats. 4 is the exact number you need to hit defensively on a ward in this meta game. Less than that and you die incidentally to a large variety of clear, more than that and you're typically going to eat real removal.

There're only very rare situations where being 5/7 is relevant like checking Twilight Dragon and Genesis after a super evo. You still fucking die to Orchis or Garyu with this stat line.

I play abyss in AA sapphire(fell from diamond sadly) and atm the two decks people play are rune and portal. I saw some people saying that midrange abyss beats portal and I would love to see how cause it's the deck I struggle with the most easily.
