So do the stats actually mean anything or this literally a fake game of pretty colours and animations and nothing else, because from where I'm sitting watching my spe with 300 speed stamina and power losing (not bad podium, literally 10th and below) to G rank jobbers with <100 stats, it kinda feels like nothing actually fucking matters and it's all just dice rolls with zero systems or mechanics behind them, if the game decides you're going to lose then you lose and there is no strategy or interaction or anything involving actual planning or gameplay you can do about it

Having strong Support Cards, and an effective set of them (using a lot of Speed Support Cards with an Uma who wants high Speed, as an example) will give you considerably more benefit than just having a strong Uma. They give huge starting stat bonuses and even more bonuses across an entire career, letting even weak Umas reach very high stats. That's why a lot of people will heavily prioritize rolling for Support Cards rather than girls

You don't have to reroll spam or anything for the meta support cards, it just helps massively; and you'll end up with a base of at least decent SRs 100% guaranteed, it's extremely hard to get anything unusable even at f2p
Basically don't worry about it so much. Unless you're giga sweat for competitive modes and want to minmax as hard as possible, it's just a fun slow burn raising game with cute girls. Even casual F2P can easily reach B-rank Umas from career, which is most people's limit at the moment
Also daily races are super quick and easy, you can skip viewing the races and be done with the whole lot of them in less than five minutes
