Blacksmithing doesn't really burn fat, it just builds muscle, mostly on the arms and shoulders. Strongfat build with a barrel chest is a classic blacksmith bod. Clint could easily have a gut, but have arms like tree trunks.

Clint looks more like a soi hipster that never did any physical labor in life than an actual blacksmith who carries heavy weights around and hammers stuff all day in front of a furnace.

His features in the portrait are too soft and round, he doesn't look manly. Of the older adult males, only Kent has a more rugged, masculine face. Gus and Pierre look ok, but even Willy, despite being a seasoned sailor, looks delicate and soft in spite of the beard. It's just how CA designs characters.

Been thinking about this sort of thing but what would be a good way to make mod characters do this in the first place? Existing characters all have pretty packed dialogue for days of the week and heart levels already, and in most cases they only talk about the characters they have schedules for interacting with. Adding anything means likely having to overwrite existing content.

I did it several times before multiplayer was a thing. It sucks and it's just rng. You have no real influence on whether a run will be good or not and no amount of skill can make up for terrible rng. Prismatic slime is just a normal slime that changes color like an acid trip. It just randomly spawns in place of a normal slime.

Better to just go back to regular mine and spam elevator floors until one spawns.
Cycle through 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and so on and go back to floor 0 by elevator or ladder up to reset.
Alternatively, pick whichever floor you find most "optimal", like having sight on big floor and most enemies and spam that, cycling between it and 0.
It's gaming the system , but fuck RNG. Same strategy can work with ghosts ectoplasm, just limited to the ice floors where they appear.

Beach is my favorite. Tons of space, looks beautiful, and keeps me from sprinklermaxxing. I also love Riverlands for how the islands segment the farm.
My least favorite is Four Corners (unless playing multiplayer) because everything is too rectangular. I also dislike Hilltop because the river and cliffs eat up so much space without looking nice.

Actually I planted all of those trees except for the pines in the south-western corner. Here's what the farm looked like in last winter. I barely cut trees in the first 2 years, but I was wasting too much time and needed lots of wood to start advancing the game for real so I chopped everything down and planted back.

At first when I began playing the game I was gonna clear everything but I liked the forest and wilderness feel so much that I decided to only clear space I was going to use and leave everything else with lots of trees and some debris around as well. I like using the ones the game gives me for free but making more costs too many resources for what you can expect to gain from them. Freshwater pots are an okay source of refined quartz and fish for crafting Quality Fertilizer but the latter isn't really viable until year 2, and the Beach is a pretty far walk just to harvest some lobsters and trash. Speccing into crab pots instead of angler comes at way too steep an opportunity cost.

Sprinklers are king. Sprinklermax. Create as many as you can. Preferably Quality Sprinklers, iron is in the snow/ice floors of the mine. Gold on the volcano layer below that. Refined Quartz by putting quartz/fire quartz in a furnace. See if you can prepare 120 sprinkler spaces (Some Combination of either 30 regular or 15 quality) for Fall and place either 120 Pumpkins or Cranberries. Cranberries can be sold immediately, Pumpkins should be processed in either a preserving vat or keg.
Generally speaking farming isn't worth it until you've fished and mined enough until you have infinity sprinklers which if you're good, should be easy to have obtained on Summer 1. Spring farming is particularly worthless in general.

What the Stardew Squad author did is just THAT bizarre. Nah, I'm using Aseprite, which gave me some tips on how to get started, so right now I'm just using the sprites of other small NPCs as a guide.

Regarding the commissions, I can understand why some people might not want them. Personally, I wouldn't mind the price of the mod, as long as it's efficient and meets my minimum requirements.

Over time, I'll do a better job, adding more content, events, and more. Once I get the hang of it and know how to code more, for now I'm working on the theory, the concept, and the planning.
It will take a while, but better late than never :D

I'm still here, but not a whole lot to report. I am sorry it's still taking too long, I should've gotten the bugfixing and simpler stuff out before getting distracted and trying to go for a more significant update. If SMAPI recently broke something I might have to go through, clean house, retest and do that. Jas has a huge randomized dialogue block where she can talk about everyone who goes to the spa. Problem is, not everyone is always going to be there based on the mods installed and heart levels. So she'll comment even on characters who aren't present. This was always an issue, but has become much more egregious after a certain gang joined in.
Does anyone know if there's a way to address that without obscene levels of copy pasting with all the combination checks for hearts and mods? Something like segmenting each line of dialogue into its own character related block and performing a simple check on that block that will then add its lines to the big randomized block? If that makes sense. I feel like I've seen glimpses of ways to possibly do that, but with all the updates and on and off, I've gotten very rusty. It's the never ending stuff like this that gets in the way of actually making content which exhausts me, but I've nothing to blame but my patented "do first, think later" mantra.

It's amazing to see you again. I doubt SMAPI broke anything, certainly not on my end. The last big version change had a massive performance boost for map edits but that's about it (remains to be seen whether 1.6.16 will be modpocalypse 2.0 though). As for your inquire, StardewCGEvents may or may not have some fancy dialogue thing to replicate this (fun fact: one of CGEvents' toys predicted the 'label' choice system coming to events in 1.6.16). For Morgan I just choose to let her talk about whoever even if they're not there, consider it a bit of advertising for other mods.

Wait a second, I think I might have the solution: Dynamic tokens. You have a token without any conditions with some dummy line, and the same token again but with a HasMod condition for the chosen mod where Jas will talk about the specific girl. Finally you just shove the dynamic token like a regular line into your @@ Random brackets.

Looking back, was 1.6 really that better than 1.5? I think prize tickets, mystery boxes and all the other freebie mechanics like animal crackers dropping everywhere have thoroughly destroyed the game's almost non-existent balance, to the point any experienced player will just steamroll through the game even harder than usual. I really felt this when I never had to craft a single farm/mountain/beach totem in my last playthrough because I had a huge supply from mystery boxes.

When it comes to totems? I think it's better. I think one of the game's biggest design problems is that too many items are useless and Beach/Mountain totems fell under that category, too expensive to craft for what little benefit you got out of them
Plus Mastery gives us scythe harvesting which is probably the single biggest QoL change to a tool that was otherwise useless

I sort items by purpose rather than by origin / type. Like for example I keep my seeds and fertilizers in the same chest, and in the winter I also keep my scare crows and sprinklers in there since I usually use the winter to make big changes to my farm building layout. I also keep a chest right by the eastern exit of the farm that is full of gift items, so if I'm going into town I can quickly check who I haven't gifted this week and see if I can stop by them when I'm out and about.

I hope someday someone takes that depozz mod and fully complete it to make sure all the cringe from Ridgeside is gone, even with the mod those two lesbos from the spirit mountain questline still had a bunch of heavy lesbian undertones going on even though the anon removed the line where they mentioned they're lovers. It would require a lot of work but giving the farmer mean/neutral dialogue choices in all events would also be great instead of him just standing around never saying shit and if you do its only something positive and enabling for the character.

The mines don't give you access to iridium except from extremely uncommon drops and spawns. You need 5 iridium bars, 25 iridium ore, to upgrade one tool. That's a lot of iridium to collect without setting foot in the skull caverns or having granpa's statue.

Sucks to hear what's going on with modding. I never played this game but recently want to after playing Vintage Story.

I like to play things vanilla for the first playthrough or at least the first few hours.
Are most of those nude mods only aesthetics or do some actually change gameplay. I've done digging and Valley Grils seem to change events. Are there any that I shouldn't use because it changes the vanilla gameplay?
I'll probably play vanilla to get accustomed to their faces before going full lewd.

Dynamic tokens were my first attempt, but unfortunately they produced shenanigans and right off the bat did not like line breaks. It even broke subsequent blocks in the entry. And, of course, line breaks are in 95% of my dialogue. At least it hit me with an easy to spot problem instead of some of the sneaky ones I get trying to combine too many different things at once.

However, I might be able to wrangle CGEvents' dynamic dialogue into getting what I need, thanks. Though maybe I'm misunderstanding it, but separating keys with / doesn't seem to work. And if there's a way for When conditionals to generate and check a random number, I'm not aware of it, so I may go the duct tape route of tying it to the player's luck. Reloading the patch for testing now has Jas walk off into the void, so it's slow going, but at least it seems doable. All hail shino, pestil and beebzanon. May Stardew's updates be gentle.

My goal was to smooth over bits of jank or parts that didn't logically fit (ie anyone respecting the girl's ability to refuse when you could behead her on that same circle, among other heinous things, or not being able to escape even after killing the God of The Depths). I didn't try to inject my own vision so much as I wanted to fix and touch up parts that appeared to be self-censorship, oversight, unfinished features, or flaws (typos and bugs). There was a lot of it. I could've spent forever on that mod. Like I would've enabled marriage with Moonless too if I felt like I could do the art justice.
From what I can see you're doing good work going for the same, but sure, I'd be happy to give my thoughts when it's done.
