/vrg/'s soccer team moves on to the Final Day of the /vg/ League 24 tournament. 52 /vg/ generals entered, and now only 8 remain.
The last time we achieved making it this far was SIX YEARS AGO.

The final match day will begin this Sunday (today) starting with Quarter Finals and going all the way to the Finals.
/vrg/ will face off against /mggg/ (Monster Girl Games General) in the Quarter Finals @ 17:40 UTC/1:40pm ET.

I also wanted to say that regardless of if we immediately eat shit or finally go on to win it all again, I hope the matches and the VR soccer meets have been entertaining to watch and participate in for those of you that came out to watch the games this year. I'm not sure how much longer I will be doing this, but I appreciate the continued support and VR turn-out and I'll keep trying to bring us home another trophy.

Not gonna lie, it's jank as hell with the physics. Also brutally hard for some bizarre reason. I attempted the first mission 3 times before I gave up. Last attempt was near the end of the level but I'm been having chronic headaches for the past few days so I couldn't be bothered restarting from the beginning after the last attempt. Will probably refund later. Apparently the reason this even got a update in the first place was because the dev sold it off to some other company. If this what it's like as a complete overhaul I don't even want to think what it was like in the legacy version.

Personally, I love it, but I'm probably a bit biased.
I've been craving a good Metal Gear style VR stealth game, and CE actually fits the bill imo (once you get the suppressor) Stealth Kill: VR Missions never ever
I ALSO really like R6S, so the destruction in CE being ~80% as good as in Siege is very cool.
The AI is maybe on par with TAVR, if not better: they throw grenades, they move to where they think you are instead of beelining to you directly, their vision is better than what guards tend to have in most games (USUALLY if they're even remotely facing you and you can see them, they can see you, unless you're a mission-start distance away) but they do take 1-3 seconds (depending on the distance) to aggro. Enemies have a Caution and an Alert stage, the usual stuff.
Level design feels ok, oftentimes breaching a wall gets you much better angles on enemies than you'd get just walking through a door into the room, I'll have to play the legacy version someday to see what it used to be like. There's Blade and Sorcery-style climbing (without pressing grip, you need actual leverage), you can pull yourself up hatches (these you can grip), you can grab onto a higher section in a room and vault over the railing, in the first mission you can even skip going into the second building by climbing the first rock on the right, jumping to and hanging off the big gate and then climbing the railing (crouch really low to make it easier). Fall damage can be a bitch tho.

The game's fun for going loud too, but there are some spots where you can cheese the AI by getting them to funnel through a single doorway and basically clearing an entire 3-4 rooms that way.
My only real complaints are no fire mode selection, and I'd like to see extra difficulties or difficulty settings to make it harder. The way enemies don't react to walls being broken kind of makes sense currently, but eventually I'd like them to make enemies do so, while also adding a slower but silent way of getting through a wall (maybe something like Maverick's torch). The thing that separates the DiverX and the upcoming EOZ glove from the rest of these is that it also has a controller module attached to it. That makes it like the flipVR controller but good. The only input solely dependent on gloves is the grip button, which makes sense considering it's supposed to be like an index controller. I'll give you the vive tracker point, though. If you're not a quest user it's a crazy expense

the udcrap also has a joystick and A/B buttons in a little module you stick on the side of your index finger (with grip and trigger determined by the finger sensors). It actually works pretty well for controlling in vrchat, where a bit of input slop or stray grip/trigger inputs when you move your hands doesn't matter. I wouldn't want to use it in like shooters though.

Yes, both the meeps/zipzoop and duznot 4th of July maps were much better than mine. i only host because nobody else would if I didn't.

periodically I'll switch up the order, and add/remove the exercises to shake things up. there's only so many sets of squats or pushups you can do before you're there for 2 hours doing like 5 sets of each, and making it impossible for anyone who maybe hasnt joined in before and wants to join in.

this is more about basic maintenance for those here who have mostly sedentary lifestyles, to keep your blood pumping a bit and stop you getting a fucking embolism.
