I'm fine with what you're saying here other than that. I'd just note it's possible he's already blasted through as much story content as possible (Hiero is not actually as much of a filter as a lot of people say--the main reason he "filters" players is they haven't been playing enough and are completely thrown off by needing DPS and also needing to deal (somehow) with the adds) up until I think V1C3 it should be doable fairly easily (especially because you can borrow for the fights against Phrenapates). It's thus possible (not likely, though) that he got and used some of what he received from story, leaving only missions with certainty.

Like I said a few times, I generally assume the worst not the best. If someone tells me "I blew my load and regret it, what do I do now" I assume they blew their load, not that a load remains.
