Leveling a priest, I always loved having an attentive paladin/druid/shaman in the group to throw support where needed. It's amazing how rare it was for paladins to not just be drooling DPS retards though. You have a huge kit of support abilities and you choose to do nothing but whack a motherfucker with a stick. Druids and shamans never seemed to have the same issue, at least not to the same extent. Even dedicated ferals seemed to consider quickly shifting out and throwing HoTs around to be a regular part of their job that didn't have to be asked for.

FMC clearing Naxx is possible in theory. The biggest problem is retention. The guild gains and regains players but also loses them. The end result is unsteady numbers and a constantly fluxtuating raid composition that becomes difficult to manage. It's hard to work together as a team when that team is changing all the time. There were quite a few times where, had anons just stayed in the guild and kept it together, they had a good shot at making progress through Naxx if not clearing it. And it might still happen if people are willing to show up to the raids. Kind of doubt it at this point.

I somewhat disagree. The mechanics are fine but a problem is we've been doing them for 20 years. It's better to switch them up a bit. With Geddon you could replace his inferno with him placing down a large fire totem that everyone in the raid has to run from. Or maybe instead inferno is a fire shield that deals damage back to players damaging him at an increasing rate meaning all DPS has to hold for a bit. But even better would be having a couple similar but different mechanic sets bosses could have, sort of like how Chromaggus can have different abilites. Keeps players on their toes and makes the raid more interesting.

/assist a DPS, typically a melee
Typically speaking main tank and main assist are two different people because the main tank has to cycle targets
Even without an official main assist if DPS all stack on the same mob it helps the tank a ton versus everyone attacking different enemies. The tank can pick up that one mob is being dpsed more than others and will give it more attention. Otherwise it is better having a DPS offtank one mob than multiple DPS offtanking multiple mobs
Make a macro to assist a DPS and then use it during fights
A smart tank will make an assist macro on the top DPS or set main assist and use it in fights while cycling to put more threat on that target

Your guild will fail if you have anons who know off the top of their heads over a dozen wspg names
