No fucking shit every deck loses if they don't draw their cards.
Except Rune always does. Why? they have the best card draw in the game. You can count on one hand the number of times Rune didn't have Anne by at least turn 5 out of 100 games. They might not have Kuon always on turn 7, because Anne is top priority but they don't need to. William or tempo flame destroyers can drag the game out until you eventually get Kuons and 0 pp climbs to instantly win the game.
Rune only plays two medicore cards in their deck: Miranda and Truth Summons. They only play them so they don't die early game. Every other card is a bomb or card draw into your bombs.

I have been playing the game for over a week now on both PC and mobile. I am not F2P as I paid $200 for my first deck. Initially, the economy seems to be very bad (500 gold pack price, lower vial from liquefying silvers, and, critically, no liquefy first 3 copies). I thought it would sucks so bad as a F2P player or a low-spender. One week ahead, I changed my mind. The economy is fine and I can enjoy many good decks. In my current opinion, the only thing that need change is the no liquefy first 3 copies rule.

I am not the luckiest player (no 100 packs key jackpot) and neither I do any reroll. Just straight up normal player that buys all crystal package, plus battle pass. Currently, I have 2 top tier, pretty much fully upgraded decks (puppet portalcraft and artifact portalcraft, 3 if you include hybrid). I also have enough vials from extra cards to upgrade my half-baked decks into good viability (ramp dragon, midrange sword, aggro abyss). The only classes where I don't have enough resources to even make half-baked decks are runecraft and havencraft, in which both have very expensive top tier decks (I am absolutely fine with this, F2P players and low-spenders aren't supposed to have everything). Finally, I have around 7000 gold that I save for next expansion (that is still growing everyday) as I am satisfied enough with my current collection.

So far so good. I am having a blast with this game and I have variety of viable decks. So, what happens that suddenly change my mind and my perspective on the economy? It turns out that the economy is REALLY supported by the freebies that Cygames give (Daily packs, park keys, events, events, events (many of them), bonus packs from here and there, and recently, 3 free legendary packs). So, as long as Cygames keep pumping up these freebies, I think the economy is going to be fine.

As much as I hate the no liquefy first 3 copies rule (and expensive cosmetics lol), I can't give the game negative review anymore.

Honestly I’m just having a lot of fun with this game and wanted to post something positive about it after seeing all the negative reviews.

I’ll freely admit that I’m not a FTP player, but I haven’t spent a ton (only $200) and I’m really enjoying the fast-paced experience and play styles so far.

I’ve never played the original Shadowverse so I’m not doing a direct comparison here. I will say however that compared to the CCGs/TCGs I’m used to (Hearthstone, MTG including physical) the cost here really doesn’t seem out of line from what I’m accustomed to with this genre. Again, not comparing to the original, just the experience of a totally new player.

I was going to wait longer to write a post like this so I could speak with more gameplay experience, but I have a few decks built with reasonable success and am having a ton of fun, and because I almost didn’t start this game because of some of the negative posts I wanted to write from my experience to encourage other new players to try it out!

Puppets will run out of steam if they can't kill you with Orchis+Orchis or Orchis+Liam so they're defenseless if they run out of super evos. Or if they use all their super evos and you're above Liam range then you pretty much won unless you let something in the board stick because they have nothing after that.

Meanwhile, Artifacts still has the ships and can deploy gundam for 10 face so they're clearly the better deck at the moment. Maybe Puppets will be the better deck if they get more finishers or more support for the next pack but right now Artifact is definitely much better.

In the case of midrange abyss, you just put every good card in one deck and hope the card quality carries you even as it has literally 0 synergy or cohesiveness to it because KMR is a braindead retard who forgot to print Abyss an actual game plan.

If you try to divide stats into individual stats it ends up with something like this

3 attack/def = 1 mana
Ward = 1 mana
Rush = 1 mana
Storm = 2 mana

Genesis Dragon has 19 stats (7 mana) with Storm (2 mana) but costs 10

Anne and Grea is a 4/4 (3 mana), with a 5/5 summon (4 mana), that has Rush and ward (2 mana) that dies after 1 turn (-1 mana but not really since every ward dies after 1 turn), and has 3 spellboost to the entire hand (0 mana for some reason) that can evolve (1 mana for stats, 1 mana for rush) and ping for 3 (1 mana)

There is just zero survival, you die by turn 5-6 if you don't draw Aragavy and you die by turn 8 no matter what because of Orchis. You win or lose Portal matchups both puppet and artifact depending on if they are smart(dumb) enough to unga bunga face or not.
