Don't discount Ancient Cannon even vs rune. It has massive value if you are good at managing artifacts so you don't brick yourself building the wrong artifact too early.
My 1 loss today I was experimenting with double ancient cannon vs sword after I fucking tossed it in mulligan, and it came back in the same slot, and I drew the second one by turn 5. Very bad if they have double albert in hand, it turns out. It'd be really good against amalia though. Probably won't be dropping double Ancient Cannon against sword again though.

Also the wincon you should go for most of the time is pinging them down with beta, and finishing with orchis/ralmia, but do not hesitate to make a gamma if you're behind on board by turn 4/5. You have enough artifact gen to build a beta in the next turn or 2 most of the time, and can threaten turn 9/10 gundam.

You do not want them to stormy blast anything
They will hold pic rel back until they can get value from it at which they will then drop an/grea out of frustration because they only spellboost from Insight

I've had luck beating rune with aggro abyss. Not 100% but it's worked well enough. You can fuck up their face early, sometimes hard enough that spending a turn to put kuon down instead of healing becomes a death sentence.

That yakuza streamer who plays abyss had a winstreak against rune with the control stall abyss deck, but the video doesn't show them. It only shows the portal matchups.

Possibly if you're playing puppet, since all you do is play reactive cards in that deck, and playing things raw dog is bad value.
You still have to contend with them getting lucky and doing a satan > dclimb > sevo > urdeadlole if you get them to late game, so I'd say you always go aggro against them to force out resources.
For artifact though, just hit them in the face.
