Gunslinger was the undisputed top DPS before rapid shower got gutted. While it didn't feel great, it was 100% needed as the damage was so insanely high that it was invalidating most of the content in the game. A party with 3 gunners managed to kill Randgris in about 10 seconds, and the two odin 4 valk MVPs even faster, to the point where one of them didn't even get an earthquake off before it died. Now that it's no longer affected by bragi, GS and sniper have comparable damage output in MVP parties. The best geared gunners still get MVP, but now it's not guaranteed. I also find it funny that people actually bought into the anti-sniper propaganda since 90% of people's grievances with the class had to do with either specific players, or veteran player's tendency to funnel new players into playing hunter/sniper because it was the easiest class.

That's your experience. Some people go further and extrapolate on their experience to then begin incessantly and categorically, from thread to thread with fervor shout "everyone is nice to each other in game", "erpkekes keep to themselves" whenever someone expresses any doubt that doesn't have to be entirely true. My bet would be it's because they're in the cult of greatness of ragnav that considers it a crime to think people who play the game could use the thread to post spiteful shit.
