>Previous: >>529264289>Thread Question:Do you like your pet nigger so far?
I was thinking about a possible 40k show, maybe even a rogue trader show, and honestly the thing that bothers me the most about 40k is that it lacks an explanation to fit swords into what is essentially modern combat
>>529413306 (OP)Reminder:
Romancefaggotry is literally the number one reason behind RPG popularity and pretty much always has been. I'm not gonna sit here and pretend Baldur's Gate 2 wasn't way more successful than Icewind Dale because the latter was essentially just a top down combat simulator while the former gave you dark elf pussy and let you defeat a god at his own game.
The only thing people remember from the base game Neverwinter Nights campaign is wanting to fuck Aribeth and the most memorable part of its expansion is that you can not only bang her but also end up in a harem end with the bad bitch drow assassin.
What's the biggest discussion topic for final fantasy 7? Tifa vs Aerith.
What's the biggest discussion topic for every purse owner game? Who's best girl. Asuka vs Rei is eternal for a reason.
Secondaries only know about Baldur's Gate 3 but in Original Sin 2 it was the same shit flinging over Sibelle vs Lohse, original sin 1's endings are focused over whether or not your main characters forged a soulforge between each other or not.
Dark Messiah of Might and Magic is remembered for its kick button and Xana's surprisingly loyal and devoted succubus ass.
It turns out that in a genre defined by "slay the dragon, get the girl, be a hero" people care about the "get the girl" part of the fairytale.
>Lorgar should've simply raped the emperor
No..IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME
is Chicken familiar really just a straight +3 hp? No level scaling or anything? Seems awful. I mean, still nice with the perception bonus but all familiars get that.
>>529413674kys people still buy male companions
>>529413645Yeah. What really makes Lorgar a complete joke is he really had absolute zero reason to fall to Chaos, he suffered nothing by comparison to someone like Angron and if he had simply stopped obsessing over trying to turn the Emperor into a figure of worship he would've been fine.
>>529413507Melee combat exists simply because of the threats that also exist, many of them simply favor melee combat, so melee combat becomes a necessity.
There's also good enough armor to make melee combat somewhat more viable, people can take some shots if they're wearing something heavy enough and not being hit by anti-vehicle weaponry, just look at terminators.
It's essentially both of those, although the vast majority of combat isn't done in melee, both the guard and space marines primarily fight at a distance, the guard wins the majority of it's fights by heavy artillery and vehicles, with the guardsmen just holding the line (as again, the majority of enemies get close).
Even drukhari and aeldari who make liberal use of melee have melee units fill specialist roles.
>>529413805Solomorne is romanceable though so I don't see how you can argue his DLC doing well is a point against romances in CRPGs.
>>529413793>owlcrap game no is balanced??Yes. Also to your question yes it's just a +3.
>>529413867Wrong, he had multiple things working against him, olympia or whatever his planet was called ALREADY worshipped chaos under different names. When he distanced himself from the emperor he went back to study his planets gods and that was that, erebus also actively corrupted him since he knew about chaos and is actively an asshole (his goal is literally just to fuck shit up).
The emperor keeping things hidden and being pissy probably made him seem a lot more suspicious than he had to be.
Storyfag anons, how's Pentiment? It's the only crpg-adjecent vidya on the sale beside Cryptmaster that I considered getting.
playing dos2, should i find and bring all the companions i can or try and stick with just a few of them?
a lot of characters seems good for battle and stats, but also a lot to manage
>>529414264That is still Lorgars fault, and the fact he didn't see through Erebus is yet another failing. You cannot possibly argue Lorgar had a more understandable fall than pretty much ANY other Primarch, excepting Curze who was just an unbelievable retard.
my Tau virgin wife! Owlcat *cough* please...
>>529413507>explanation to fit swords into what is essentially modern combatModern combat doesn't have people dealing with swarms of enemies where there's a 100:1 enemy to ammunition ratio. Also armour has progressed enough that it can usually shrug off normal enemy fire, so you'll "have" to use melee that can typically cut through.
>>529414341Bring who you like, they can all be respecced into whatever you want. If you want to be a metafagging little shit, then make sure to bring Fane.
>>529414301cute bread child
>>529414341you should obviously fill out your party yeah but you'll have to pick who you'll want to stick with you, you can't have everyone
>>529414407>he should've simply not gotten trickedc'mon anon
>>529414008>many of them simply favor melee combat, so melee combat becomes a necessityA revolver is better than a sword even in close quarters
>melee units fill specialist rolesWhat specialist roles couldn't possibly be fulfilled with modern weaponry?
It's the kind of thing that works unless it's put in live action
It can work in anime, I guess.
>>529413460Lorgar won.
> Lorgar was right about the Emperor and he saw the truth through the gaslit> survived the failed rebellion, became a powerful psyker> His ideas are the only reason why Imperium is still functioning> his legion is still large and strong
>>529414469He had all the tools at his disposal to keep himself from falling. You also still haven't named a Primarch you think had a less justifiable fall.
>>529414092You only mean waifus
>>529414487>A revolver is better than a sword even in close quartersThey don't use regular normal metal swords, and there's only so much armor penetration you can put into a revolver without it snapping off your arm, also you can't parry with a revolver and people aren't suicidal to engage something like this with zero actual defense besides "die doing some damage", mostly
>What specialist roles couldn't possibly be fulfilled with modern weaponry? There's a reason melee units move fast and hit hard, essentially the equivalent of cavalry, melee weaponry is largely anti-armor
>it can work in animeWhat are you talking about
Anything can work in any media, it's literally made up
>>529414487>A revolver is better than a sword even in close quartersnot if that sword is a power sword or chain sword
>>529414664>he had all the toolsHe literally didn't, nobody knew what chaos was because the emperor refused to tell anyone, even magnus didn't know until way later while he was actively getting tzeentch-dicked
I didn't "name" anything because I'm not trying to have some weird pity party suffering ranking, everyone 'fell' under different circumstances
I guess you could say perturabo if you realy wanted to play this game? He only changed sides because he felt unappreciated
>>529414629>His ideas are the only reason why the Imperium is still functioningThat is completely wrong, the entire reason the Imperium has devolved into the wretched state its now in is because of Lorgars ideas prevailing. It's one of the great tragedies of the setting. Even Rowboat Girlyman commented on it when he got brought back:
>"Why do I still live? What more do you want from me? I gave everything I had to you, to them. Look what they've made of our dream. This bloated, rotting carcass of an empire is driven not by reason and hope but by fear, hate and ignorance. Better that we had all burned in the fires of Horus' ambition than live to see this."
>>529415016ermm he got HOPEPILLED by knowing the lion also came back though
>>529414758Romance is romance, it's an integral part of CRPGs and the sooner people accept this, the sooner the quality and depth of said romances will improve rather than being the tacked on feature they currently are. Even in such a state they're still a huge focus and central point for the fans of just about every CRPG.
>>529414801>melee weaponry is largely anti-armorIf something you are facing has so much armor that you can't pierce it with a fucking shotguns, then you use artillery or anti tank weaponry, not fucking knives
>also you can't parry with a revolverYeah, the idea is that you kill them before you have to parry
That's how you survive
>>529414834Guns are faster than swords
If you are facing an enemy like tyranids literally charging you, you want to be fast
In any shootout, someone like Marazhai, Abelard or Kibellah is doomed to die immediately, they charge the enemy with their silly medieval weaponry and get hit by a shotgun to the fucking face
>>529414972Alright I'll give you Perturabo, falling because of an inferiority complex is pretty weak. Also the Emperor had solid reasons not to tell anyone about Chaos so you can't really fault him for that decision.
Skald didn't have any rance and it moggs the shot out of 90% of crpgs.
>>529415682Why do you keep ignoring what we're typing and repeating yourself?
Fallout 1 didn't have any romance and it moggs the shot out of 90% of crpgs
>529415682
Drukhari can dodge bullets and their armor can comfortably handle bolter-tier fire
Abelard is a human and would use ranged weaponry as plan A but carapace armor would be able to withstand a shotgun blast (also assuming he didn't have any form of energy shielding)
Kibellah is an assassin and not a fighter
>>529415731Many CRPGs do well despite the lack of Rance, but in truth all would be improved if he was in them.
>>529415682anon, power weapons cut through armor the same way a lightsaber does
they are way better than a shotgun that can't even pen modern ballistic plates with its low velocity slugs
large power weapons like thunder hammers and power fists can even damage vehicles
>>529415736Because I am yet to see how anyone like Kibellah or Marazhai would survive more than 2 battles
You haven't offered any explanation, just "they don't use normal swords", as if range wasn't an important component.
Solasta didn't have any romance and it moggs the shit out of 90% of crpgs

>>529416119The Emperor understood Chaos was fueled by emotion, if he allowed everyone to realize it was there and what it was doing it would've gone out of control much earlier than it ended up doing. If he had a bit more time his Webway project would've succeeded and the problem would've been solved. The only real mistakes the Emperor made were appointing Horus as the grand leader and not killing Angron on the spot after he realized what the Nails had done to him.
>>529416461>everyoneThe primarchs are like 20 guys man

>>529415949>Drukhari can dodge bulletsDrukhari can move at 2,727 mph?
In that case good luck hitting them with your power sword, or anything really.
You might as well just surrender if you meet one, even if you are 30 space marines, because you won't even see him fucking moving.
>>529415963Again, I cannot fathom a situation where you would send a specialized melee unit instead of barraging with artillery, a tank or from a flying ship
As for space marines, they can easily carry weapons of a caliber that would absolutely destroy anything, not even talking about piercing, just straight up break every single bone inside the armor if they hit.
Why would anyone be a melee specialist is beyond me
IRL soldiers have combat knives, just in case, that makes sense, but being a melee guy outright? Nonsense.
>>529416068Solasta is a really bad game though, 5E combat is shit, the character building is limited, the story is one of the worst ever made, the character models and visuals are pretty much the absolute worst in CRPG history, I mean what exactly is there to recommend about that game? Verticality? Even that meme didn't result in fantastic combat encounters in that game, they were just okay. I cannot possibly see how someone can recommend that game as something fun or good to play.
Deus ex didn't have any romance and it moggs the shit out of 90% of crpgs
>>529416060>You haven't offered any explanationhe literally did
Dark eldar or even an assassin like kibbles are superhumanly fast by irl standards
In urban or voidship combat they can just ran at you and only have to face a few shots before getting in stabbing range
on a full scale battlefield, dark eldar will use their hovercraft to close to melee range
death cult assassins would have a hard time getting close but they aren't usually deployed in setpiece battles except as part of an inquisition force which would probably give them a chimera or razorback to ride around in (depending on what they need to do, they could just be rear guard for enemy melee units)
>>529416510The best way to keep a secret is to make sure no one else knows about it. I genuinely doubt the Emperor explaining Chaos to his sons would've prevented their fall, especially in cases like Angron or Curze.
>>529416814Don't bother, he's ignoring what gets posted at him
Dungeon siege didn't have any romance and it moggs the shit out of 90% of crpgs
>>529416814>or even an assassin like kibbles are superhumanly fast by irl standardsNo kibellah would very easily get shot down by a regular autogun actually, she's a death cult assassin (schizo with a knife), not an Assassin (superhuman)
Both of the pillars games didn't have any romance and they mogg the shit out of 90% of crpgs.
>>529417026poe2 had romance
The shadowrun games didn't have any romance and they mogg the shit out of 90% of crpgs.
>>529416814>dark eldar will use their hovercraft to close to melee rangeJust fucking shoot with heavy weapons from the hovercraft
You are going out of your way to do the tactically disadvantageous thing
>In urban or voidship combat they can just ran at you and only have to face a few shots before getting in stabbing rangeWhich is why I said 2 battles, I give that they could luck out in 2 by being fast
Any more than that the chances of just getting shot are too much
>>529416858>*Absolutely inane, out of the way, insane explanation that would never work*>duh why are you still not convinced?Because there is NO REASON to drop off melee troops in an hovecraft instead of dropping ranged troops with maybe a backup knife and shooting at armored enemies from the overcraft
Your explanations are SHIT which is why they are not acknowledged.
The reason is that it's cool. That's the reason for space marines with battle axes, when they could easily carry artillery in their bare hands.
>>529417191I wish I could fuck is0bel silly though

>>529416648>Again, I cannot fathom a situation where you would send a specialized melee unit instead of barraging with artillery, a tank or from a flying shipmany militaries in 40k have advanced vehicles and personal armor that makes small elite forces, deep infiltration and decapitation strikes possible
space marines and eldar primarily fight like this which is how they overcome being massively outnumbered by most other factions
>As for space marines, they can easily carry weapons of a caliber that would absolutely destroy anything, not even talking about piercing, just straight up break every single bone inside the armor if they hit.we both know fictional armor doesn't work like that, anon
power armor in 40k is like Iron Man's suit, it completely protects the wearer from kinetic energy and acceleration forces
I decided to play 47 this time and put on the robes. It's cool how characters get different looks
>>529417541You do realize this just furthers my point that any space marine using melee weapons is a fucking moron, right?
I know some do, which is why I claimed they could
That is the point
>>529417509What? The girls are moaning in ecstasy about 3 seconds in, have you actually played any of the Rance games? At least play Sengoku, legitimately a classic game worth your time.
>>529415016No, Imperium became wreck because of the war in which loyalists jobbed hard.
Lorgar ideas won because it's the only way for humanity to survive when Emperor and his jobbers failed. The ideas worked for a long time no matter how flawed they are and only this matters. There was simply no better alternative for humans survival in this demigods wars.
And Girlyman couldn't even help himself and required xeno rituals, so he can shut up about others flaws, ffs.

>>529418693Soldier. Gunning down an entire corridor and shredding multiple enemies or magdumping one big guy to death is a lot more fun than plinking two people in one turn. Problem with Soldier is that you'll need some levels before you can reliably hit shit.
>Heinrix is mad I blew up the satan machine
Jimmy. Bro. The cultists in this setting do not have "secrets" like that. They do not have "plans". They follow the schizo ramblings of a bird god who thinks it's funny to trick people into believing they're on the brink of some mind-shattering discovery. Seriously, name ONE TIME someone was better off for delving into a Tzeentch cult's works, rather than burning the lot of it.
>>529418693Soldier gets to burst-fire mostly, and support for AoE weapons. Operative is mostly about buffing your team and sooome sniping, up to you. Most people in here freaking hecking loooove playing some cookie cutter build and complaining that fights end in 1 turn so they'll probably say soldier though.
Although I do agree that soldier is rather fun, I still really like operative purely because of running multiple of them together and stacking exploits with everyone. Operative is a bit weak.

That's probably not canon, but even without warp travel of any kind, humans would definitely survive in isolated pockets. Medieval worlds can only exist because some human settlements have basically no contact with the wider Imperium. They wouldn't be a political force, but I'm not sure if that would be such a bad thing.
It's also not impossible that without the Astronomican as a crutch, humans would develop other ways to handle interstellar travel. Other races manage it, and humans aren't dumb, they just live under a system that's incredibly hostile to any kind of innovation.

>>529414301It's excellent. It was my goty the year it was released. Great narrative. I have some minor beefs with it, but overall it is definitely something worth playing at least once. Unique game. Sister Zdena is cute (even though she's a whore)

>>529426756>No. Degenerates and the mentally ill want that. You just pivoted from a biological argument to ideological seething, you lost
>>529427015No, I did not. Only mentally deranged individuals depart from their biological programming.
>>529424583>That's probably not canon, but even without warp travel of any kind, humans would definitely survive in isolated pockets.Without Astronomican it would be extremely tough and most of the worlds wouldn't survive, especially those whose vital supplies depend from others planets. Imperium would fall apart for sure.
And yeah, It'd be way worse than age of strife, because at least before rebellion there were no all mighty daemon primarchs deliberately trying to nuke everything loyal to the Imperium.
>>529425376The point is that there are clearly several mechanisms by which interstellar travel can happen, and just because humans don't understand them, it doesn't mean that human's can't ever understand them. Even the seemingly magical ones. There is a mechanism by which the Eldar Webway functions, someone discovered it in the distant past, and it can be discovered again.
More practically, though, I'd suggest something like a smaller-scale localized psychic beacons, operated by lesser psykers. The Astronomican gets dimmer when you're really far away from Terra, meaning that its strength is based on distance, meaning that a less powerful one might still be usable at a shorter range. Put up a whole bunch of them to establish reliable local jump routes, and hop from start to star.
Or just copy what the Tau are doing and accept that it's going to be shitty from now on.

Scorcher of Souls on Hard was tough, I didn't rest after Hepzamirah/Baphomet just to see if I could manage it.
The lich power "Deadly Magic" is really powerful but there's a couple of issues I need to keep in mind:
1) if it's on and I cast something like Siphon Time, then the "no magic casting" affects everyone, companions and enemies alike.
2) it's only three rounds and it stays on so it's REALLY easy to just lose it all pointlessly.
3) I always forget to use it since it needs a bit of care to use and I have so many other things. But man is it powerful.
Scorcher of Souls starts at like 70 AC and his first round he sunbursts you, most likely blinding everyone. Second round is this Fire Storm/Sirocco combo that is absolutely devastating. I flew through Hepzamirah and her crew, basically everything here in Colyphyr mines, but this action by him takes out 3-4 people pretty much without recourse. Woljif has Seamantle, Daeran has a Ring of Evasion and pretty high Dex but my KC, Cam, and Nenio are essentially guaranteed to go down.
Not sure how I'd do it without Deadly Magic honestly. I suppose go rest up and pile on some fire immunity/resistance, communal stoneskin and hope for the best, even at the least getting to the downed KC with a raise dead/resurrect in time. Likely too far negative to come back with a single breath of life/inspiring recovery.
Whew, I'd say that's been the toughest fight so far in the game. AND now we get to level before heading back to the Nexus, fuck yeah.
Side note: I really fucking hate the way Dispelling works in this game. It's amazing to me that protections and stripping protections/debuffs is somehow 10x better in oldBG from 25 years ago. Is this an Owlcat thing or a PF thing?

Setting yourself on fire brings extra damage, which you don't really need as a psyker yourself if you're not making a video for sheep
As for what pyromancy itself does for melee, it gives you very good talents (along with access to psyker items from being a psyker obviously)
>>529438010What you do is you buff
Then you click

I agree with Kibbelah on most things, but not this one. They drugged him, which means he didn't consent to anything, which means it wasn't betrayal. He can't control what enters his bloodstream.
Now, with enough faith, you actually can. You can believe the poison doesn't affect you because the Emperor stops it from affecting you and that becomes true if you believe it hard enough, but that level of faith is not expected of some random naval officer, that's a Sororitas or living saint level of faith. So getting mad and calling him a betrayer because he's not supernatural is kind of silly.
But I'm trying to do a dogma playthrough which means I just click on the dogma option for the points.

>>529438307Execute him you pussy
>>529438307You can't actually, that's called either being a psyker (therefore using psychic powers) or a miracle (direct influence from the emperor)
Altering reality is reserved for mass groupthink (which a single normal person could never match) or to psykers
>>529437962nice. they should've asked if he's a moaner or did he masterbate to your character before getting with her. owlcat aren't prudes who would've ducked away from these questions
>>529438245Well, that isn't really true, but I feel like you're the same exact person I've had this dead-end conversation with before.
>>529438394So it's essentially the same in tabletop though? What I'm specifically referring to is how BG1&2 had all these tiers of spell protections and stripping.. Globe of Invulnerability for area effects, spell turning, remove magic, dispel, a whole number of others.
This made it pretty fun to figure out how to best approach stripping off protections, and felt like Cool Wizard Shit (tm). Just having a blanket "Dispel" is, by contrast, ... pretty shit. But that's how tabletop PF works as well?
>>529438806>did he masterbate to your character before getting with her.Of course he did
>>529438806The've banned raztard for posting disgusting porn, so they probably would have banned you too for asking lewd things about jimmy
>>529438538You're mistaken. Faith has real power in 40k and Sororitas regularly bring people back to life or bend bullets way from themselves by praying. You're right that it's a "miracle" in name, but you're wrong that it's reserved for large groups or just psykers. A single individual can have enough faith to ignore wounds, ignore injuries, set things on fire spontaneously, make their weapon do more damage, and drive ships by closing your eyes and letting the emperor steer. These things have all happened, and they're all happened when one individual believed so it's not a matter of numbers.
If you get shot, you can ignore the wound for as long as you believe the Emperor needs you to stay alive, and then you drop dead when your job is done. But this is only possible by people who have extreme faith, regular people who just sorta like the Emperor but don't truly believe can't do these things. It's locked behind being truly fanatical. Which is why you shouldn't hold it against some random officer that he didn't do this, it's not reasonable to expect. But it's a thing that is not based on reason.
>>529438806>did he masterbate to your character before getting with herHe doesn't need to because he's a biomancer and can control his erections. Probably

>>529440415No, they're not psyker powers. There is a distinction between faith abilities and psyker powers. It sounds like you should read more recent lore because you're outdated.
A non-psyker can use faith abilities, and even people who are not saints or Sororitas can call upon them at-will if their belief is strong enough. The source of the power is the Emperor, not the warp. This is a fundamental aspect of the setting.
You might be confused due to the distinction that the Emperor's power is ultimately from the warp, but it would still be inaccurate to say that his followers are using the warp when they utilize their abilities, since the Emperor is the source now. The warp has made him into a powerful entity that affects the galaxy, even more so than he was when he was mortal and a psyker himself. He has become more than that as a result of the Imperium's belief in him. Faith affected reality.

>What the combat feels most like, is a card game, where you can build your deck the way you want and always draw the same opening hand, with that opening hand always being a one-turn-victory. So every single fight is exactly the same, it doesn't even feel like playing a game.
>They try to get around this by making fights with phases, or triggered immunities that force fights to take more than 1 round, but that's just lame.

>>529413507Rogue trader would be a great setting for a show. There's enough variety for interesting self-contained episodes, and it's more than just armies smashing into each other.
The actual Rogue Trader plot could be adapted into a show very well
>Ep 1: To Reclaim What Was LostIntro, Kunrad's betrayal, meet Abelard, Argenta, and Idira. Probably introduce Kibber here too
>Ep 2: Encounters at RykadPasqal and Jimmy, maybe rescuing Evayne Winterscale if that character is going to be used later
>Ep 3: The Final DawnCassia's station, and return to Rykad Minoris for the parade and the big battle to end chapter 1
>Ep 4: FootfallJae and the rest of the side characters of Footfall station. Might not be enough meat here for a full episode
>Ep 5: ElantachChange of scenery to a jungle planet, recruit Yrliet and encounter a subject governor for the first time
>Ep 6: Shield and ShadowKibber centric episode where you venture into the lower decks, beginning of the genestealer plot
Now you have a full cast and can fill out the rest of the first season with sidequest planets. The Halo Device would make a good ep by itself. Encounter Marazhai from time to time being a nuisance.
>Final episode of Season 1: The TrialReturn to Dargonus and meet Calzone, thus setting up the arc for season 2. And you know what happens next
>S2 Ep 1: The Dark CitySelf explanatory, but the have some material for the crew left back on the ship, maybe they're trying to find you. Recruit Ulfar
Rest of S2 is more sidequest planets, but also receiving assignments from Calzone
I would cast this fatass from Season 2 of Severance as Ulfar. He's already huge and Icelandic which suits the character.

Both void shadows and lex imperialis finish in act 4 right? I can just do all the quests in act 2 without worrying of finishing them immediately?
>>529462328It's because it differs depending on your original class. The servo skull is much better in the hands of an officer than the other classes, so someone who wasn't an officer would say the skull sucks. Most people agree the raven is the best because there are some insane biomancer and diviniation abilities to transmit through it but I've honestly come to respect the servo skull after playing with it some more. It provides cover, deflection, healing, and transmits officer abilities through it to everyone in the aoe, and if you want to use it offensively it can float over to enemies and make them all shoot each other.
Right now my personal ranking, after having them all in my party and being level 33, is that the skull and the raven are amazing, and the dog and the eagle fall behind a bit.
Right now I'm a noble-officer-strategist doing the usual tried and true buffs on Kibellah/Argenta and Jae is actually my servo skull user, and I find myself actually excited for my next playthrough where I will try the servo skull for myself as Noble-Officer-Overseer to gain the unique overseer player character content.
The dog is by far my biggest disapointment. In theory it's the one that does the most damage on paper but I guess owlcat felt that might be a balance issue if one does real direct damage while the others are mostly utility, but that made him fall behind. meanwhile the raven gives your entire team aoe psychic powers which directly segues into your team killing everybody and being unkillable. But because it's not the raven itself doing 200 damage it's ok.

This character is crazy. This hero went above and beyond the capabilities and bravery of an average person and she's actually taking the opportunity to say pointless racist shit that doesn't serve the situation at all it's literally just chiming in to victim blame him because he's such an inept monkey so of course this happened to him. More fun discoveries with that electric discharge sword. The enemy receives a stack for each point of damage and retains those stacks forever, and discharges the stacks regardless of what kills them. Kibellah is currently all the way on the other side of the room killing the beastmasters, but she just killed the rogue trader who was by the throne because an enemy Kib hit last turn died to damage from Cassia. Kib's 300 lightning stacks killed the RT even though she didn't deal the killing blow to the charged enemy, was on the other side of the room, and the charges were from the previous round. This sword is pretty fun and adds entertaining gameplay because it's actually rather dangerous.

are britbongs still posting? It has to be 12 at night or 1 in the morning I'm guessing.

>>529521820>Can Argenta be coruptedShe can't. She's way too retarded for corruption.
>>529521870I don't understand this shit
Nothing will change
Do people really have nothing better to do?
Just started a new RT.
What's a fun build for Overseer? I'm stuck at the character screen and can't figure out what I want to be. I like to have a portrait associated with my build and finding good quality character art is a bit rough.
Pyromancer sword psyker kinda needs executioner to come online right?
>>529522131In US petition sites don't do shit as we all know, but in britbong once a petition reaches 1 million signatures their court is mandated to look at the petition and get on the case.
>>529522147Overseer is a jack of all trades class so any class that leads into it will be OK but not stellar
>>529519149Thats your daughter you sick fuck
>>529522293Nothing's going to change. Brits are corrupt and directly benefit from the games industry being fucked

Damn, I saw the meme but the whole thing is even cooler
I guess this is a "Mythic Power" moment like in Wotr
Say whatever you want but Owlcat is really good at doing moments like this with all the music and writing
I can't wait for a similar moment in the Expanse, if they don't fuck up it could be something truly great
>>529490291>The later is self-explanatory,Why? You want your enemies to know you're in bed with the inquisition? That's a bad decision. That will prompt them to be more careful. No, the master of whispers needs to stay in the shadows. I always do Abelard and Cassia
>>529524950>You want your enemies to know you're in bed with the inquisition?Would you rather prefer them thinking you're in bed with an aeldari?
>>529525364No, I already told you that I go for Abelard and Cassia. Also that image is stupid. Calcazar would encourage Jimmy to whore himself out to get better intel, not object to it. He strikes me as that kind of guy, it's also the reason why I think Solomorne romance is just parts of Jimmy romance that didn't make it into the final version. They're in very similar positions
>>529510410I think Yrlietards have a degradation kink. The ones who actually read her dialogue and not imagine a cutesy elven waifu.
>>529523198i killed her instantly after picking her up then dropped her corpse. same with zxan or whatever with montoron except he's good about getting himself killed. people really slept on bards in bg1 considering ranged and charisma is useful in it
>>529521125Drop Kebab and pasqal. Take Argenta and Idira
>>529525802I'd bet that Calcazar knows Jimmy better than Jimmy himself knows himself, and that the reason why he didn't make him an Inquisitor yet is because he's not sure if he can pull this out, and that his mission on RT's vessel is a test. Ngl selling your loyalty for an iconopussy isn't exactly dogmatic of him.
>>529526405>iconopussyimblying
>>529526405Xavier knows that Jimmy still has parts of humanity still in him. They've not been beaten out of him throughout all his years and yes, Jimmy is really good at his job but his humanity is likely a weakness to Xavier. An iconoRT is definitely imo the best choice for jimmy BUT, enough about that. What was Theodora to Xavier hmm? Was she his weakness? Give me the gossip.
>>529526405Calzone just sees Jimmy as a useful tool. and im not sure if Calzone knew Jimmy could be easily seduced.

When does reputation actually stack or change? I killed this faggot now who tried to sell me a turqoise gem for a thousand gold and that didn't seem to decrease my rep, but accidentally killing the guy who turned himself into a chicken, even though that was also out in the wild somehow did decrease my reputation (I thought it was just a random chicken)
>>529526928>What was Theodora to Xavier hmm? Was she his weakness? Give me the gossip. She was a multitool he banged accasionally
>>529527087our lord inquisitor anton zerbe won't be this corrupt
>>529526928>What was Theodora to Xavier hmm?Even if they had something going on, it was just some 8d chess without any feelings. Just ruthless calculation from both sides, each side sincerely thinks they can outplay the opponent. Before Argenta comes and flips the board.
>>529527032there are actually only a few thieves you can murder without reputation changes, most people don't find them. normally it always goes down with murder and at 2 or 1 flaming fist guards are summoned at towns to fight you
>>529521870>>529522131>>529522293>>529522508It's afternoon in the UK.
The petition itself is an EU thing, with a special one tacked on for bongs who left years ago. If the EU petition reaches 1.000.000 signatures, the EU parliament has to hear the case.
In short: While bongs can sign their little petition, citizens of the EU might have a better chance for success if they sign.
gay retard voice: What was Theodora to Xavier hmm?
>>529527498Owlkeks will never ever let us fuck our boss, who is an older man. Give it up, femcel. Oldermen enjoyers that rule over you keep getting prosecuted unfairly
>>529527004He knew Jimmy since he was like a teen. And he kept him on hold in terms of his promotion for 40 years or so. Do you really think Cazadore didn't know that he's compromised and in doubt?
>>529527742technically jimmy is old. he's 59 in regular earth terms
>>529527568I honestly hate that. If I can't kill people in the wild, far away from towns then what's the point of playing an evil character?
What's the point of roleplaying if I can't as much as kill random people who are away from civilization.
>>529527937>He knew Jimmy since he was like a teen. That is wrong. Jimmy spend some time on the black ships and then in the army. Only then was he picked up by the inquisition
>>529528106Jimbo was a kid when he got blackshipped
>>529527937Not 40 years. He's 59. So maybe closer to 30. And he is an interrogator. One step below him. And how easy do you think is it to become a Lord Inquisitor if you're a literally who nobody with no influence? I think he's doing pretty good considering how corrupt and nepotistic Imperium is. I do not think there was any intentional holding back on calcazar's side
>>529528034But he has no authority over us and he is not our equal even. That's the important part. Age is secondary. It's just that it's the easiets way to poartray authority
>>529528260He says that he was young but not a small child and the story he tells about the banner theft all lead me to belief that he was a teen. 12-13, maybe a tad older.
>My RT's face as he walks around Commorragh
Jesus christ I hope I can blow this place up in the end.
>>529528050i kill people any way and fight the guards, but thats a pretty good way to brick your game if you don't know what you are doing. evil mode in older games is essentially hard mode
>>529528875You can't, but you can do a very funny thing with it that will make a lot of drukeks and inconokeks seethe uncontrollibly
What's the best order in the third act so you don't miss anything? I didn't think you'd be allowed to fly around anymore
>>529529583Third act of what, anon? We're not fucking mind readers
prove you're not filthy owlcat jeet shill and name 7 RPGs you've played
>>529529768There is no order. It's pretty railroaded. You go to cumrag, you come out of cumrag, that's it. If you mean if you can do anything BEFORE going to cumrag, then no, you got nothing to worry about. Anything that hasn't failed before having the innauguration party (only companions quests really) will still be available to you after you come back

Bitch you would have died on Rykad Minoris if not for me. My ship was the only one to escape the devastation, either you were on board or you walked. Is a thanks out of the question?
How the hell is he even calling me from Footfall? I thought FTL communication was incredibly unreliable and vague.
>>529529000You can do that? I thought your game would be over if you got attacked by guards. How are you supposed to complete the quests in baldurs gate with scar if you get attacked on sight? Can you take quests at all?
>>529526025I would leave Kebab and Abelard behind, and agree on taking Argenta and Idira
