nah, MoP is a fairly well liked expansion. if anything was gonna kill classic it would have been Cata, and it did surprisingly well. if anything, MoP will suffer in later phases because of its long ass raids, but anybody who's stuck around this far and hasn't jumped ship to one of the 10 versions of vanilla, probay isn't going to be filtered out now by pandas.

the real question is will it survive WoD, but I think even if WoD flops Legion will do well enough to revive it. I think it will die at BFA, but then again who knows, if you told people 5 years ago there would be Cata classic and it wouldn't kill the game they would laugh at you.

do random dungeons at least from 1-60, you get bonus xp from them and the level windows are tight so you won't outlevel them. from 60-80 the level windows are more relaxed I think so once you get up into the high 60s and high 70s you might wanna start queueing specific dungeons but meh.
depending on your role you might have some downtime between queues so you could do some quests in there. or grab gathering professions and do them in your downtime, it nets decent xp and you'll make a good amount of gold too.

Wrath has more in common in Cataclysm than it does with vanilla, the only reason it gets lumped in with vanilla instead is because Cata removed some of the last remnants of vannila design. which I understand, don't get me wrong - it did make the game feel fundamentally different - but it didn't mark a big shift away from Wrath as much as it just cemented what Wrath was already doing.

how legit will profession alts be in MoP? I have four characters at 60-80 but I only plan on playing two of them in MoP so I'm thinking maybe I should level the other two as well to get some daily cooldown going, and if I do that then I might as well use my SoD boost on one more. but having three profession alts when I don't even care that much seems retadeded. I could just use my boost to skip leveling on one of the characters I want to play. I have like 90k gold anyway so I'm not sure how much I will need the daily cooldowns.
