There's nothing that'd quite compare to DoL in any of the games, even with mods. I guess sims 3 might be the closest since the world is more dynamic and there's dialogue and rape mods. Kinky World for the rape iirc. You might be more into a game like AA2, or honestly even modded Skyrim.

If my game keeps crashing after 5-45 minutes, does that mean the save file is corrupted or there are bad mods? There is one save that crashes usually within 5-15 minutes. I tried loading an earlier save from the same playthrough, and sometimes it crashes after 30-45 minutes and sometimes it doesnt. No, one of my suspicions on how this all happened is because I updated, got new packs (including the get famous one) got mad about the fame sparkles, disabled it and selected begin opted out of fame, saved while it was in the process of doing that stuff (it took a long time to save which is usually a sign something went wrong)
My other suspicion is that I was messing around using S4PE and didnt check the "compress" tickbox when copying stuff over

Thanks, just spend an hour making all kinds of QoS tattoos, trying to get all the placements right, etc. Doing ankles now, but it's a bit harder, because the ingame texture 'bends' the tattoo a lot, so I need to constantly go back to photoshop and manually add pixels to make sure they end up looking good ingame. Also, CC shoes change the mesh of the ankle/leg, so I need to create a whole set of differently placed ankle tattoos to match different shoes.

It looks like I owe >>529583231 an apology, I hit repair on the Anadius thing and it just updated my game which seems to have fixed the issue (3 hour+ plays without any crashes) so I guess the April 30th build must have just been buggy then. Still weird that I didnt see any issues until 2 months later. I wonder if it was possible one of my new mods was able to corrupt the game files in gameplay somehow. I recently played a few sim days in TS2, having not played it since it released, and have been futzing about in build mode trying things. I have become aware of full power build autism using GridAdjuster/LotAdjuster and Portal Revealer and unhiding catalog content, making apartments with community stuff and custom dorms etc.

What started as an idea that I would make a handful of lots as my character progressed enough to benefit from them has turned into (by way of looking for a neighborhood to my taste that could support beach lots) wanting to make a neighborhood from damn near scratch (everything except sims, just pulled from base game via uberhood), starting from a .sc4 bespoke for a planned layout.

But I don't have the experience with the gameplay and technical subtleties necessary to not have a bunch of borked or awkward shit in my "finished" builds. Thus I have to do research testing how gameplay stuff I haven't seen works before I start building and it's gonna be a big fuckin' undertaking. And I'll probably only play two or three families in it and probably won't try to deal with the CC clusterfuck that is sharing it. But I like building.

In the sims medieval? religion plays a huge part and both religions believe in "The Watcher", an all seeing all powerful god that has control over everything that happens to them. This, of course, is implied to be the player.
However, in Jungle Adventure, we learn that the ancient Selvadoradians believed that there was once one Watcher (Will Wright) who started the creation of the world, then he split into multiple watchers (the developers), which then became even more watchers (the players).
Now, if The Watchers (developers) created Mother Nature and Mother Nature brought to life the natural world, is she a god? Is she a demi-god or some sort of other minor diety?
Is she our equal? Are both The Watchers and Mother Nature at equal god status? Or are they not because we can interact with her but she can’t interact with us?

Quick question, but I used to play Sims 3 like 10 years ago but have not in a long time. I want to play a Sims game with the wife and am torn between 3 and 4. From what I've read 4 seems to lack a lot of the open world features etc., but the character creator is a lot more detailed. Is there any way to improve the 3 character creator with mods or would I be better off getting Sims 4 and restoring the missing features using mods? The answer is, either choice would be a compromise and no, there is no mods that can do what you're asking for. 4 is incredibly shallow in gameplay so you'll likely be bored with it fast. 3 requires a lot of patience both in how kinda ugly the sims are and how annoying its performance niggles are, not to mention having to get shit like the smooth patch just to get a baseline that's actually reasonably playable. But it does have a lot more content and depth if you get past that. Really I'd just suggest trying both to see which one pisses you off the least.

As much as I like the general idea of Ravenwood, I'm not a huge fan of how the sky looks in the upper right neighborhood. It's just way too much, like a kid filled it in with crayons. In fact some of the masterpiece paintings in the game look like this skybox and it's hilariously telling.
