An important announcement from Starlight Stage:
Starting in October, some development and operational structures will change. As of now, the addition of new idols and new events will start ending.
The PC version of SS and the Starlight Spot app will end services as of 8/21 15 JST.
At of the end of July, the Haruhi cover songs will no longer be sold.
At the end of October, the rest of the cover songs won't be sold.
As of 8/21 15 JST, the Cinderella Theater and the radio calisthenics 3D commus will no longer be available.
As of 9/3, new idols, new songs, and the dress shop will stop getting updates.
The final story commu will come in late August.
The final memorial commu will end in early August.
No more episode commus.
The final event commus will come on 9/3.
The final extra commus will come in early September.
There are no more business commus to come.
As of now, the following have no more updates coming:

LIVE Infinity in late September will be slightly different

SS was a major jump when it came to idol games and mobile games in general, TD had impressive technology and I still enjoy it for the music videos and commus. I like SC, but Song for Prism arrives in a saturated market with little to offer aside the nice visuals and I'm a big fan of the outfit unlocking and accessories which very few games have.
Gakumas feels different because of the writers, I enjoy the gameplay but it's not for me (a hag lover). I think they made a good decision to swap to this gameplay format and it's technologically impressive, but it feels like a big stylistic jump from AS, ML and SS that the emphasis is on the school setting.
