Throughout my life I've lived in both a big metro area, and a town of 20 give or take. There's definitely alot of ups and downs to both lifestyles. What surprised me the most was how similar living in rual and urban areas can be. Though I assume it comes down to lifestyle. A social butterfly would go mad having to drive 30 minutes to the nearest big (10k population) town. Whilst someone who enjoys the quiet life might find city living too stressful. But I think if someone gets the chance, they should do both.

But ya the country is pretty car dependent. The current city I live in does have a somewhat decent light rail and bus system (a rarity for the U.S it seems) but sadly my job requires I commute out of the metro area, so I still have to deal with traffic. I only wonder where life takes me next.

I have a decent taste of living in smaller towns given my many summers spend like this in the past. Its nice to be able to go about anywhere worry free since its all close together but at the same time, yeah, you'd need your own transport for half the other things around. I dont like putting my trust in public transport but its a necessary evil at this point. The subway is the best you can get here and it does well but busses are a different story, trying to avoid them as much as possible. Lastly it would be tough for me to live in a small town given my profession in IT, not many jobs like that in places like these.

I like the privacy of the big towns. Two winters ago I used to go out for regular nightwalks during the winter.
There was this feeling of transitivity. You pass by places and people like a ghost. As if you were never there. Neither will you be remembered, nor will you leave a trace. It's a very comfy feeling.
I remember there was a very heavy snowfall one night. It was early in the season too, maybe november. I decided that I want to go see
the city park. That park is not really like a regular park too, it's more like a forest with pathways going through patches of dense wood, foliage and other bushes. So there I was entering the park. Strangely, the leaves of the treed had not yet fallen and because of the heavy snowfall, the branches of the trees had slouched down, creating snowy arches blocking the main walkway in the park. It was at night too and the light from the street lamps reflected and lit up the snow in a way, painting it in a white-greenish color. It was very whimsical walking through arch after arch, all the while it was snowing. I did not pass a single person by, I may have been the only one in the park. Granted, there were branches break off and even trees falling in the distance, but it was probably the most beautiful nightwalk I've been on.

hello guys, idk if anyone remembers but I'm the guy who finished KS for the first time in the previous thread and did Hanako's route.

i just finished Emi's route today and oh boy was it an adventure, first thing is the comedy in this route, i laughed A LOT there were some real funny moments with Kenji, the nurse, Rin (the window scene was the best LMAO), and even Emi herself which was obviously the opposite of Hanako's which had almost no comedy at all.

the route almost started with them dating which was a fresh and good change from Hanako's route, there was a lot of kissing, too much even, it annoyed me a tiny bit how repetitive the kissing was but it was wholesome nonetheless to see them get this lovey-dovey, Emi's boldness and character were really amusing and i loved her.

now for the ending, i got the good ending by talking to her mom, act 3 was weird for me, i started getting annoyed by Emi and her stubbornness and weird philosophies so whenever there was a choice to not talk to her like with Moutou or her mom i chose it, honestly i didn't like the ending here it was kinda cliche, all Hisao did was tell her "i love you" and suddenly she opens up, weirdly I liked the bad ending and think it is more realistic, i also loved the good ending with talking to Misha and think it is more realistic than the other good ending.

overall it was a good experience but i liked Emi at certain points, not so much at others, but a lovely character either way, last thing is the realism of this game and how it portraits real life problems in this way, i absolutely LOVE IT, the route brough some bad IRL memories for me when i was in school and got in fights with some friends but like Emi says "stuff happens" and i can't go back and fix the mistakes of the past.

But if there are themes to them or some other activity going on, it would be better. Emi's route is generally regarded as one of the best-written routes alongside Rin. For me personally, it's the strongest route at teaching that life is for the living.
My recommended order from here on out is Lilly -> Rin -> Shizune, because even though many consider Shizune to be the worst route, an anon once convinced me that it is the best to read last.

Long story short: in 2024 I had a very bad case of food poisoning while travelling abroad, it would have been outright lethal had I not gone to the hospital in time and once there, most people didn't speak English and some of those who did were trying to convince me were heavily underestimating the issue because it's easy to do so when you're not the one in pain. Lost a lot of blood, felt both painful and lonely since no one came to visit me or pick me up and I had to find my way to my accommodation on a holiday with very limited public transport service and a dead phone (I left my charger behind because I underestimated how long it would take me to solve this matter once at the hospital).

This year, while travelling to a different country, I almost stepped on a venomous snake (imagine your feet being three inches away from something circular that starts unravelling as soon as you look down to get a clue of what's right in front of you), due to it being night and the path being barely visible, which thankfully was moving sluggishly and didn't appear to be angry at me almost stepping on it, I'm going to guess it had just swallowed some mouse, otherwise it wouldn't have been so chill, I even managed to film it sideways once it became clear to me that despite blocking my path to some extent, it wasn't interested in me in particular and simply wanted to go the opposite direction.

after finishing Hanako' route i started reading, i asked a friend of mine to lend me a beginner friendly book, he gave me a novel called Red Rising it is about space racism and slavery among other things, it is really fun and i think i will make reading a permanent hobby, it wasn't my first time trying to get into reading but my previous attempts were reading trashy isekai light novels which was boring AF and I was forcing myself to read them instead of actually enjoying them so i stopped.

Despite Hanako being the one for me, what won me over or rather what i expanded upon was tea drinking/brewing. I always enjoyed tea but i never delved deep into anything other than storebought teabags. Nowdays i go to a specific tea store and restock every month or so, except recently due to the climate being less than optimal for tea drinking and its not worthy it to get into the hassle of making my tea and then cool it, for me at least.
