Grinding Lagi fucking sucks. I hate doing the underwater segment every time, if there were a "just do your stupid super, cart me and get it over with" button I'd press it without hestitation and never step foot in that pool, and something about his nest tanks my framerate despite every other monster/area of the game running fine. At least Steve is fun I guess.

Art style needs to be fixed. Not a performance thing, just in general. I think the game is ugly. Specifically color grading and volumetric fog, but if I could ask for anything I'd also say ditch the ditthering and TAA. It never looks good.
Offsets and Power Clashes cutscenes are too "press X to awesome". Offsets doing a full knockdown is too much. In my dream world they'd always be the non-cutscene version and flinch instead of full knockdown. They're a cool idea but overtuned at the moment. Similarly, perfect guards are fun and fine but they need to design monsters where guard up is actually needed. I think it would be cool to have weapons have a switch art style choice between bringing an offset, the perfect guard, or a perfect dodge.
Monster Difficulty needs to be upped and rewards need to be lowered. TU1+TU2 are already moving towards this but it needs to continue. I generally hate the whole regular vs tempered vs arch-tempered system, and this dumb star system just makes it even more dumb. Investigations give too many rewards for the normal, but the tempereds give too much artian shit, so players aren't incentivized to hunt tempered. Most monsters should be their tempered versions as a baseline.
I could also complain about map design being generally worse, and how the seikret turns a lot of these into glorified loading screens, but I've written enough

Make the world simulation stuff matter. As a bare minimum give me a little house for my captured endemic life to hang out in. There's a full ecosystem simulation running and it doesn't do anything. In an ideal world you'd be looking at birds in the sky circling over a recent kill to lead you to the monster or listening to the wildlife suddenly go silent as a warning that a Nargacuga is about to ambush you if simulation is the direction they want to take the series. It's not my preferred style of monster hunter but I'd take it over all this work being spend on something the bird taxi makes completely pointless.
More interesting quests instead of relying on the investigation copy paste shit. We don't even have a Rathalos and Rathian team up fight.

I can see where you're coming from, cause some of the weathers are cool, but there's a lot of just ugly areas. For me, most of it is windward plains and oilwell basin's actual geography. The lava parts of basin look fine, but its okay in inclemency, but both plenty and fallow look bad, especially the upper levels. Windward plains is kinda terrible. The canyon areas look bad, especially the fulgurite seikret path areas right by the camp. Fallow looks terrible in that area. Everything is just that grey-brown dust and it's not at all a good impression for a first zone to have.

It does if you don't have the crashing issues that some have. The VRAM thingy in settings is more accurate so many people found out they were accidentally way over their usage. Set mesh quality to high, not highest, turn down shadow quality/distance a bit and if needed, drop textures to medium. Framegen is sadly needed for most 30 series cards and older.

Since ''Title Update 2'', I can't run this game on high settings anymore.. forced to switch to medium cause high vram usage, like what the actual ? i was using 5gb of vram before the update with high default settings and now with the same settings its 9gb of vram.. wtf happened?

The performances were poor even before but at leasy playable.. now even on medium settings i get crazy fps drop down to 30/40 from 70+ every couple of minutes.

Now for some problems that I personally have with the game itself:
-The game feels very easy from the very start.
-The hunts are very short.
-You don't really need to upgrade your gear anymore.
-The monsters don't punish you anymore as they used to.
-You no longer need to hunt the monsters. They are just there. You call your seikret and your job is done.
-No reason to learn the map layout anymore.
-Everything in the game is now easier to farm/craft. Even gems are now like a normal drop with the guaranteed quest reward.
-Your palico is capable of doing almost everything in its power to stop the monster from killing you from the very start of the game.
-The game has almost zero optional things to do because it gives them to you without even trying to get them or because they just don't exist anymore. Stuff like food ingredients that actually make a difference, upgrades for your farm(Nata) , unlocking cosmetics and gathering endemic life for your room. Oh wait.
-They didn't put an item box from the start and now that they did they decided that the best place to put it is right outside your tent so when you go interact with it you missclick and press your tent instead. And you can't even change your equipment...
-They put an extra tab in the environment overview that nobody asked. Now for absolutely no reason you need to check 2 pages instead of 1 to see what monsters are available to hunt.
-You have so many new tools now but the monsters get nothing. With the addition of focus mode you don't need to position correctly. You just let the camera do the work for you.
-The wounds are one of the worst parts of the game. You trigger the wound and gg now the attack of the monster is interrupted and the monster becomes dead for the next few seconds.


One of the big reasons that I love monster hunter is the enjoyable fights. But now I can't really enjoy any fight in this game. The monsters die instantly, they do no damage and they give me no reason to play optimally.

The game ran fine with the occasional crash. Then TU2 came out and the game crashed my whole computer in 20 minutes while waiting for about 30 for the shaders to update. Until i can reliably play the game with out worrying about crashes to ,y entire system its not worth playing. Secondly, I've been playing monster hunter for a long time. Played through world, played rise break on both switch and pc and played GU on my switch and honestly they took too much friction out of the play. I come to monster hunter as a feel good game because it feels good to best a hard monster, it feels good to over come the challange of a huge behemoth looming over you. This game just does not deliver on that front. Instead of feeling like the little man that is over coming a challengeing fight. You feel like a god who's joy it is to smack monsters around. Bring back the harder fights, I want a fight to last me at least 20 minutes. But really i want that know down drag out fight that lasts 40 minutes and really makes me start to wonder am I gonna be able to finish this within the timer? Its just not apparent in this game and I want that feeling back. Because to be honest, this game looks beautiful. This game feels good to play. This game has a wonderful over world that I want to explore, and its really frustrating right now that I cant. I paid full price for the game i expect a game that not only works but will actually run. I dont have a potatoe for a system. In fact last summer i built a new computer so that I could run games like this and others that were going to be coming out. There is no reason that I should be experiencing crashes. Too often the games industry continues to do this thing where the console ports of games work perfectly and the PC ports get the shaft, why? IT doesnt make any sense why you as a company would ostracize a large portion of your player base. Anyways rant over. Until capcom decides to fix this game I cant recommend.

Requirements -
- 2000 or newer model. (Doesn't work with 1000 and street)
- Ark CFW
- Seperate 2.4ghz SSID on your router. Having a single SSID for 5ghz and 2.4ghz will not work. Have UPNP turned on or you're looking at way too much work with port forwarding and shit.

Steps -
- Few settings in CFW you need to change
- - CPU Clock In Game - Overclock
- - Use Extra Memory - Forced
- - WPA2 Support - Enabled
- Connect your PSP to the 2.4ghz SSID
- Download and install Pro online plugin - https://github.com/Kethen/aemu/releases/ (Release not Debug)
- - You can enable plugins for a specific game in ARK CFW. I highly recommend you to do that because this plugin will crash your psp with some incompatible games. It is extremely easy if you follow the per game installation guide on ARK CFW Wiki. https://github.com/PSP-Archive/ARK-4/wiki/Plugins#per-game-plugin-install
- - add your SSID to "hotspot.txt" inside the seplugins folder
- - Don't need to touch "server.txt" or "port-offset.txt". It defaults to "socom.cc" and "10000" in each file respectively.

Few notes -
- You cannot put your psp to sleep if you're running the plugin. Thankfully enabling and disabling the plugin is very easy because of the plugin manager in XMB. (thanks ark cfw)
- On PSPGO you need to have the ISO in your internal memory. Having it on the Memory stick/adapter will just error you out when you try to connect to a room.
