yeah you get that ability in a story sequence between the 1st and 2nd palace so i've got it, i just hate mementos. obviously you eventually had to do mementos in P5 but it was easier to put off in favor of story progression and new dungeons/party members rather than acting as a giant brick wall that keeps you from the fun parts

I think it would be neat if there were subtle differences in P5X's story and universe depending on what region you're playing in, to sort of further drive home the whole parallel timelines thing.

For 99% of other Gacha and probably this one too, you can faceroll the main story with whatever, it's the side content that will require you to pay attention to meta or not be able to do it and get currency rewards to gacha more often

powercreep is only relevant for sea of souls and guild endgame content. to answer your question, those modes will practically require you pull the new characters to get C4/C5 ranking. Also, (this goes for most gacha by the way): character's kits and damage multipliers are going to get more complex as the game ages. So there will be a point where the curse weak enemies will be too tanky for joker's, and/or they'll have some gimmick that makes the newer curse DPS bypass it. So Joker isn't going to be the curse king forever.

Typically yes but in most gacha if you maintain a team released in the last six months you can bullshit your way through. In this I imagine you just fuse good Persona with that element and use debuffs/buffs wisely and you can survive well enough to get all or most currency. This seems to follow the Star Rail meta of introducing ridiculously strong buff/debuff support characters that completely obsolete the previous ones, so you probably want to pay the most attention to them instead of the latest DPS

Man Vishnu seems like it's pretty much designed to be the Anne fight like how Dominion is the Joker fight, huh? Although my first attempt something really funny happened to me where a half-assed Ryuji nuke managed to do like 70% of Vishnu's HP before he did his first split, which made him split twice immediately.
