I feel like I didn't get some proper closure on this game, and that's why I'm still so obsessed with it a month later.
Chapter 4 was just so good that I'm even hungrier than when I started eating.

Since there is only one ending question mark the real event is that there really is only one ending. All routes lead to the same outcome with minor variations that become meaningless by the end.
But
Either after reaching some qualifier or just from reaching the end you get some sort of psuedo-character editor that has a more complex one below it, sort of like Scratch that kids programming software. You can make whatever events you want "happen" by writing it yourself as the lonely god of the world. But scattered throughout this are Goner NPCs you can't control or some other Gaster-style hint system to create a very specific scenario. If you do it right a new ending plays, and is the only one that will play when you play the game.
The final meaning of the words is: There's only one ending, but you decide what it will be.
There will also be a lot of easter eggs for the ending as while the scenario you have to create to change the ending is very specific there are some variations you can make which are mostly funny and uplifting, with a few odd and even bittersweet.

darkners can't survive in other dark worlds for very long. if lancer or roulxs kaard goes with us to another world, they eventually petrify. so here is what i don't understand.
1. how are we able to recruit people to castletown, isn't it just another dark world? how aren't they petrifying there?
2. why is the original starwalker immune? he never seems to petrify in any of the worlds he goes to

In chapter 4, if you use the big piano and play the theme of the first sanctuary, Susie says it sounds familiar. This causes Ralsei to freak out and ask her where sheโs heard it, and in response she says she heard him humming it.
So why is the background music only diegetic to Ralsei? Whatโs special about him? Why is it bad if Susie can also hear it?

If we think about it, the festival has being hinted multiple times as something that is kind of romantic, in a way... And the Beardly call to Noelle in the normal route seems to confirm that Noelle WILL GO WITH BEARDLY in the normal route, and we will go with Susie... The Weird Route, on the contrary, maybe will be a major break up with Susie.
In my mind, it seems to me that we will just ditch Susie and go fuck around with Noelle alone, since Beardly will not be there to screw things over... But maybe he will make an appearance, since Kris may try to abort the Weird Route one last time.

The Mike fight should have been in chapter 3's dark world, the code should have been revealed through doing actual puzzles, the soul gimmick should have been the exact same concept but with the purple soul controlled by your volume, where you move up and down the lines with your voice volume, and the minigames you unlock afterwards should have been what you find in castle town behind the Mike door.
As it is now the Mike fight is great, but doesn't feel like part of the game, just something that Toby added last minute for the Switch 2 gimmick (because that's what it is).
Can't wait for chapter 5 to reveal Kris was actually the villain all along and had no real reason to do what he's doing other than because he wanted to!

Probably since 6 and 7 are implied to be a bit different given what Gerson said about how 6 "swallowed the author" and 7 was never written. So Chapter 5 is a "last hurrah" of dark worlds before things get weird.
I'm guessing things will go down during the festival, and we'll have a lot of character interactions in the first bit during the festival itself, with all the key players being the lightners that are "very interesting" in the name entry screen (Catti, Jockington, QC, Rudy, Asgore, even Papyrus might show up finally, I speculate they'll all have dark word forms and make up the bulk of characters in the chapter) and we'll probably have to scramble around town closing various dark worlds while the festival is going on. Flower King is the only "guaranteed" location I'd say due to the prophecy and Gerson's summary. I personally think the Mayor's office is a good candidate as well for an ice-themed dark world since we haven't had one yet and it's implied we probably will have Noelle back. Particularly, I saw an interesting idea that Asgore's flowers would become a "judge and jury" and we'd have a trial/courtroom segment which would be perfect for Toby since he loves Phoenix Wright and Chrono Trigger (which has a courtroom segment early on) I think the Mayor's office would fit this segment pretty well.
I can't really say where else for sure, it's possible Sans's store or house will have a dark world due to "reverse Undertale theory" the idea that Deltarune chapters mirror Undertale but in reverse. That theory has been pretty solid so far but it would also imply Chapter 5 will parallel Snowdin, and we'd get a blue soul fight. All the colored soul fights seem to have some connection to their original owners (Spamton Neo = Mettaton Neo, Alphys = Gerson)

I'm not sure if Carol will be a boss yet, seems early given how late we've met her, but it's possible. I think she's possinly one of the main villains. I also think the fact it's "a field of pink and gold" means we'll get much more information on the strange smiling face and perhaps even get a reveal of what the character looks like and why the pink and yellow colors are so prevalent.
Again, I think this is because this will be the last chapter before hell breaks loose. Chapter 6 might straight up be the bunker, and 7 might be something none of us anticipate like "the Angel's Heaven" or something very surreal. I feel like an event that's been alluded to like "the Festival" has vibes of something big happening.

Kris has a few oddities that suggest issues with his hands. #1 is shadow crystal text about seeing through his hand like it isn't there. #2 is the extended periods of hand washing. Toriel comments on that in chapter 2. #3 is the gacha machine secret that takes about not being able to find your hand.
On an aside, the "art therapy" is most likely related to this, as learning to use a new hand would require certain activities like that.
