It's a nice change of pace, especially since P3P was close to a brand new game considering how they shuffled all the arcana around and rewrote the interactions with various characters to account for the different gender. They put a lot of effort into making P3P more than just P3 with a pink color scheme and I respect that. Modern games just replace one set of pronouns with another (or worse, use "they" for everything) so I'll give credit where it's due. There's an argument that Wonder is eventually best specced for support but right now his damage is pretty reasonably competitive, so not a rush. I personally did bottom row, then top row, then attack column and the remainder in the first column. I just like having all the base stat boosts myself.
