I increased difficulty beyond unfair by giving more cheats to enemies, but I have 2 more characters with me and so far I have more fun.
This pirate funeral battle is a carnage, I don't remember having battle this close ever before in my previous play-through. Abelard was the last guy to fall, Cassia before him. It's all on Pasqal now

Desperate Measures are more fun due to their severe drawbacks compared to Heroic Acts I think now that I get to try them finally lol

She should've been a competent and intelligent agent of her Craftworld (and Farseer) who actually understood perfectly well what was happening on Janus, and viewed the RTs arrival as the perfect opportunity to manipulate them into taking care of the Slaaneshi infection, and done so, rather than being the incompetent moron she is in the actual game.

I also would've really, really preferred they actually made her an actual, full Ranger with all the experience and skill that would've entailed, so she could actually have been a source of information and an asset to the retinue that would justify her presence on the ship. Personally I would've really liked it if she wasn't even a Ranger and was a full on Aspect Warrior, as well, Rangers have been done to death in licensed 40K material and it's tiring. It also would've allowed for real explanation of how the Paths work in her dialogue chains since she would've actually understood them.

I feel like the entire reason that Yrliet is an Outcast, in fact, is because the writer who created her didn't want to bother with all the details of writing an actual Eldar and so went with the lowest effort, easiest option possible so they could create an "Eldar" character that knows nothing about being a CW Eldar at all.

Ideal imo design and not that hard to make, while retaining gamey functionality would be to remove that overall slider and instead split Dogmatic into Puritan and Radical. Dogmatic would be pro-Imperial morality. Taking Janus as an example that Dogmatic choice to keep it under human rule, while not killing Eldar would be Dogmatic - Radical, while killing them Dogmatic - Puritan

Iconoclast would be anti-Imperial morality and it would be split into, lets call them - Idealist and Pragmatist at least. Iconoclast-Idealist would be a moralfag concerned mostly with well being of people, while Iconoclast-Pragmatist would be all about making profit and making sure well being of your dynasty is taken care of

I would remove Heretical path outright the way it is in game. Next to nobody wants to play stupid evil in cRPGs anyway and those more interesting and useful paths could be developed instead. But I wouldn't get rid off Heresy entirely as a concept. I would take DoW2 as an inspiration in a way. It is a simpler game with diablolike hack'n'slash campaign, but the way corruption works in it is that it tempts you to use those cool and strong weapons, thus corrupting your squad which works good enough in a game like this. Here, in a cRPG, I would make Heresy a tax, a punishment for not playing Dogmatic-Puritan essentially, those tempting Iconoclast or Radical options when overused would result in a taint of corruption and heresy spreading. Results would range from alienating your Dogmatic companions and npcs, thus influencing story and choices available to you to your worlds being fucked and losing stats with heretical cults spreading. This way a path to Heresy could be paved with good intentions thus fulfilling 40k theme and causing a seethe from those uninitiated with 40k

Finished Lex Imperialis, it feels like it had a less cohesive storyline compared to Void Shadows. Solomorne is a bit bland and even with a decent shotgun build he doesn't shine much in combat; all of the other pet I tried out felt more fun than the dog. His romance is alright I guess but I doubt it will get the same enthusiasm as Jimmy. Like, I guess he represent well what an Arbites is, but it lacks a little bit of spice, a crooked cop would have been a bit more fun, guess that's what I'll do myself for my Heretic run

It's really the ultimate challenge in the D&D realm. There is nothing else out there. No other game, definitely not the newest release, and no other Baldurs Gate 2 mod either. SCS simply doesn't cut it if you are looking for a challenge.

Does pathfinder WOTR ever stop feeling so bad and unpleasant to play? There's reasons why you're missing that can be remedied. I have no idea what you mean by running underwater. I don't think it's the greatest game but it's definitely up there in crpgs, for me, so I'm happy to help, but if you don't enjoy the game you really can just not play it, you know.

It was my first exposure to 40k and I found the game fun and exciting in the first 5-10 hours, but very quickly grew completely sick of the 40k setting entirely. Also the combat is ridiculous. I played on Daring and only the very first boss even gave me the threat of TPK. Higher than Daring is just more random than challenging, also.
I think it's worth giving a try if you already like CRPGs, but personally I didn't finish it, and doubt I'll ever replay it.

It’s hard to tell visually where you can walk. Sometimes what looks like impassable rubble is a path and sometimes a cart handle blocking the street but with 100% open sidewalks is impassable, because there the sidewalk (visually identical to walkable sidewalks, the same literal texture image and .obj file) is not walkable.

Four words
Cassia, Argenta, Kibella, and psykers.

Psyker abilities never miss and bypass most resistances while giving debuffs. Cassia can attack twice with absurd damage and give an absurd debuff. Argenta is a bullet spamming machine. Kibellah can hit things over and over and over again, which can deal absurd damage whether assassin or executioner.

I chose reveal the light as my first navigator ability and linchpin immediately for Cassia's second archetype to just get it out of the way, so I have to rely on her stun AoE that doesn't deal much damage in the beginning.

Abelard is fucking useless on this difficulty. I don't want to use Argenta because I'm going heretic. Kibella hits hard and stacks DoTs but gets killed so goddamn quickly if she doesn't kill her enemies first. I thought Idira would be OP with the new overseer archetpye but she just gives a slight edge to my party with her foresight and that's it.

Why are the player character portraits for wotr so lame compared to the kingmaker ones.
I feel like kingmaker has way more portraits that make me think "wow I want to make character that fits that portrait"

I really don't understand your angle here. I like RTwP more than TB. I think Pillars1 did it quite well and Pillars2 did it almost perfectly. WotR rtwp is, however, complete and utter horseshit. The same as IE from 25 years back, no innovation. And on higher difficulties, at higher levels, with 6 characters and often a large number of enemies, everyone doing their 4+ attacks or whatever... No. Poorly implemented. Likely held back by PF itself (and their stat bloating approach) but still, I would strongly recommend players play WotR TB, even though I personally prefer RTwP in general.

Aergenta is the second best fighter, and she's also the team mascot, so she should never leave the party.

Kibellah is the best fighter, and also my romance this playthrough, and is also the RT's bodyguard, so she should never leave the party.

Ulfar has been here for a while and knows stuff, and also why would not take an astartes everywhere if you had the chance, so I want to bring him.

Solomorne is the new dlc character so I want to see everything that's new with him.

I've never recruited Marazhai before, he's always dead by now, so I'd like to see his content.

Jae and/or Pasqal are skillmonkies and I never want to miss a locked chest or computer so at least one of them always comes.

Jimmy is an Inquisitor and has that perspective and knowledge and input, plus he has good story relevency and stuff to say.

So I have way more people I want to bring than space.

Cassia and Abelard typically stay on the ship in my playthroughs. I don't want to bring a delicate princess into combat, and Abelard is by far the weakest combatant in my game and he is good at minding the crew and ship while I'm gone anyway. So these two are easy to leave behind since it makes sense. And then I just don't like Idira much since she summons demons and her head explodes so I don't take her very often.
