Long races require stamina, for late and end horses it's a bit of RNG and you focusing on speed and power. Power essentially just means that you can accelerate fast as fuck, faster than other Uma's racing, as well as passing and speed is quite obviously how fast you can go when at max normal velocity. An End or Late Uma needs to be able to accelerate as well as pass and accelerate to a speed at where they can catch the already tired Pace Chasers and Front Runners quickly. Give her enough Wit to go AFK during mid race in order to consistently activate her unique.
Give her a parent with long genes to get her long to at least B for a chance to actually win her long race goals.
Accel + last spurts skills are good for her.
Focus on stamina and power during the classics, after the classics is over, focus on speed to help her deal with the mandatory short G1 race.
If you win the final optional Arima Kinen with her, you can unlock a secret event that boosts some of her stats.

You're in a better spot to play this mentally than most.
Air Groove is a 2 star character, roll a few 10xs and you're pretty much guaranteed to get her and if you're willing to put some resources into her you can even get her unique racing outfit fairly quickly. Having an easy to get uma as a main girl also means you will be able to roll more for equipment (cards) to help her runs instead of rolling for other umas, most people I wager play around with a lot of umas instead of really committing to one or two chars.
You should still play other umas so you can get better legacies for your Air Groove and more resources but generally you should be more than good to go.

5 support cards with special priority to show up in their preferred training type. I've done it with speed, wit, and stamina. It just don't happen. It's always 4 and the director or the reporter.

it's to avoid accidents like being blocked, but obviously in turn you get a wit penalty so less skill activations but that doesn't matter cause even in the early days people only took skills at the end of the run so you spend less points on skills because of skill hints
