For many it's generic Power, then a more specialized set.
Unless the character just doesn't Atk scale at all.

Sometimes. Dupes 1,2, and 6 are new passive abilities, with some being entirely new, or some modifying the character's gimmick of whatever stacks they collect. 3, and 5, are strictly number increases for your attacks, and 4 upgrades your Highlight, sometimes better numbers sometimes a new effect. Joker is nice to have dupes for but you get a lot of what you need out of him at no dupes. Ann really wants dupes. It's pretty case by case.

There's no real reason to make perfect coverage at 30. Just run three persons that cover common weaknesses.

You get them when you pull on the gacha. Standard, limited, or weapon banner, doesn't matter. When you get a trash/filler item like a persona or 3* weapon, you get clear. When you get something good like a character, you get Violet. Either turn them into more pulls or 5* weapons, depending on your general pull strategy and how fast you rack up cognigems

Until you level cap, you could get fucked by Mora often.
Hell as a week 1 Genshin player, despite doing Leyline events every time they were up, and some BPs over the years, I actually recently ran out of exp.
Granted I overlevel wide on a LOT of characters, got like 60 lv90s now, but still... as an active player from the start, I legit ran out of exp even going into the game's 5th Anniversary soon.

And of course in games like FGO you need endless mountains of the Gem or whatever equivalents, the "spend it to enhance stuff" currency, QP for them. Hundreds of millions of it, weeks of farming, can get spent just doing a modest amount of more advanced enhancement aspects.
