In 2.4, she has a whole side quest, where she only does fractsidus or her own related stuff on people who gave their consent to be experimented on, or were pure evil senators of Septimont that murdered people by indirect methods. I'm not well versed in gacha, but the ones I played genshin and HSR certainly don't work that way. As a twintail collector it took more than 3 years until I could do a full twintails clear that could work (and it was because nilou happened to restrictively want such characters, and unfortunately she has been phased out already due to powercreep). Hu Tao seriously needed xingqiu (C6) and even now you need either him or yelan (and ideally zhongli at the time, only many years later appearing options with plunge team that also has it's needs and citlali). HSR is just worse in general than both by a large margin.

And the more characters are released the more synergies it will appear. Lupa will work with any fusion character that wants fusion stats, and is fairly powercreep safe because they can't powercreep stats without making echo farming irrelevant. The other supports like roccia, brant and cantarella are getting more options, as does most dps outside of carthetyia and zani for now which are the only bad case if they don't follow up with more dot characters.

It doesn't, thats the issue. Galbrena gets buffed by Lupa, and Lupa buffs Brant. Changli has no place in the team, and it's the reason they gave her a skin now, to trick people into thinking rolling Lupa was going to give Changli a long lasting place in the game, when in reality it was her swan song. And it didn't even work, very few people liked or bought Changli's costume, no one spent for Lupa, and Brant still is the least owned character in the game.
All of this could had been averted if they made Lupa a main DPS instead of the THIRD fucking fusion support, or made her into a healer and had Changli buff Galbrena instead.

lupa is my favorite character. I got her s6 r3 and i plan to roll 2 more copies of her weapon. Honestly you can tell her damage output isn't cracked compared to Carte, but i think she's good. She has long air time on her autos, easiest parry windows in the game, and has the best facial expressions so far. Yes i'm her number 1 soldier.

What you aren't accounting for is that buffing lupa is the least relevant part of the buff chain because her damage contribution is low.
There is unfortunately no chance that kuro unseats brant from the team. Even if they did Changli is a bad unit to target with buffs that don't persist through swap so the resulting team would be weak even if you got your wish.

That only works if she is a main and then she would need to also buff Changli. People act like the damage breakdown for the team is like Changli 70% with Brant and Lupa covering the rest. Changli at best is like 50% with Brant covering a like 30-35%, people being made that Lupa damage at S0 is low isn't completely unfounded. The main thing with this team is that it really is a sum being greater than the parts situation.
