You underestimate how easy it is for rune to draw their entire deck by turn 10. Especially since at that point they can easily have three dshifts at 0 and just cycle through the remaining 15 or so cards to find a second Kuon.
As I said, if you actually let rune get to turn 10, it's fairly common thing. It's just that there's an easier option of doing satan shift on turn 10, which higher odds.

If this is anything like SV1, the rate for fully animated packs is higher than you would think. Mostly animated packs should be rarer, since you need pure chance for each of those "1 card out of gets animated" to go off a bunch of times, whereas fully animated packs just need one rare tick to happen.

Can confirm. Have been plaything nothing but Haven in ranked for the last few days and Sword feels free. I'm like 7:3 on win:loss, and Swordcraft players are almost a free win so long as I actually see my board clear cards. Vessel ruins their Amelia plays, Jeanne/Vessel tears through Amalia, and Featherfall deals with Luminous Magus/Zirconia setups while keeping up pressure. All the while, I'm healing out of their early game pings and putting out bodies they must answer before Jeanne comes down.

I think that they wanted to sunset the "vengeance" mechanic. They wanted a faster format, and it looks bad for a craft to have a flagship mechanic that does nothing until you are essentially in one shot range. Mechanically they are related in that blood and shadow embody different facets of mtg's black slice of the color pie, and thematically they both share and underworld/demon/undead themes. So rather than look silly having a craft with a DOA core mechanic, they just fully merged blood and shadow.

As for why abyss is so mid right now, I would bet money that these first two sets were designed as one big set and that some retard came along and haphazardly split them in half. For example, abyss blatantly has wrath enabler cards right now but no wrath cards as payoff. Likewise dragon has some vestiges of its discard theme, but not enough to do anything with it. Portal and rune were the lucky cunts who lucked it having fully cohesive decklists in this initial set.

Build wide with Nanny at early game to force them to use the syringe since they have no other removal for it.
If you're going first mulligan for Marion on top of Otohime, if you're going second go for Draconic Berserker.
If they're going first they will drop Salefa on T5 so evo your 2/2 follower to survive the aoe and force her to trade hits. Throw out Draconic Berserker next and evo it to remove Salefa without having its HP reduced so now they need to find a way to clear a 6/7.
If they're going second they will drop Salefa on T4 with extra PP, so make sure you use Marion effect on your 2/2 unit to achieve the same result as above. On your T5 though you're kinda free to do whatever with your evo.

It's very match-up dependent. Haven can't out-heal OTK strats and there are fast threats that they can have trouble with. Ronavero also just eats shit against Forest, Haven's own removal, and William. Calamity Breath can also clip him if he hasn't been buffed much. Trying to go all-in on Ronavero is an all-or-nothing matter, and often it's best to buff him just a little and then send him in to threaten the opponent into taking action.
