Yeah its been really fucking noticeable since 2.0 that everyone just absolutely sucks the dick of this games devs and just isn't serious about getting accurate information and sober analysis out there about the game and character kits and tiers and stuff. Everything just sort of follows the "it keeps getting better and better every patch" hypebeast narrative in 2025.

I cant take any of these fuckers seriously and have just kind of been trusting my instincts, common sense and own tastes with pulling strategies or talking to people in places that dont have their head up their asses about the game and aren't doing the whole sticking it to Hoyo at every opportunity thing so are able to just give their honest thoughts about things. People keep saying it's Hoyoverse games where you're not allowed to give any criticism or have anything less than a 10/10 best thing ever take, but IMO its this game more than any other.

You also get stupid shit from people with this game like "Oh so you want power creep in this game?" where its like no I don't want a characters peak performance to be so heavily tied to a character I dont really want to get when I'm already not gvien much of an incentive to pull for her from the story. Its apparently okay in this game to have her tied so heavily to Brant who they put on the same banner here, but something like Genshin doing it with Skirk and Slut Chef on banners with a whole gap inbetween to save up again is apparently greedy. Its so fucking dumb.

Zani Frazzle application, Carte Erosion application (+HP scaling to fuck over SK) and now Lupa requiring 2 Fusion teammates (when there is only one Fusion healer in the game).

They can't lower the currency income, or release more than 2 characters per patch. Weapons are also guaranteed. So the only way for them to milk players is to "encourage" them to get characters they don't want with a risk of losing 50/50 and spending more.

I felt like we just landed with thud in the middle of a brand new story arc to push Lupa without much continuity after the last chapter and they just kind of handwaved it all away with blows Playwright power which was barely explained other than it cant stray too far from the source. Just a really rushed story arc for Lupa. It wasn't absolutely awful but pretty standard shit as well arc wise. That Gacha Smack guy at least seemed to have the spine to say it was pretty cheesy and a quick resolution I guess along with calling it a typical gacha story.
