no, actually the problem with GFL2 is that it's more akin to a legacy gacha, aka a menu simulator
you can't really exist and relax in the world, the only way to interact with the characters is the same 5 static poses in the dorm that get old pretty quickly

you don't have to make your game open world slop, but having walkable dorms like snowbreak goes a long way to grant the player reprieve and let them enjoy the fruits of their endless labor (chores) outside of the battle stages

people clearly love this world and the characters in it, but they do a terrible job at letting you co-exist with them hence rushing out the walkable ELMO asap which will do wonders for this game if implemented well

It's the Remolding Pattern system, another grind to improve your dolls. Each doll will have its own Remolding Pattern. To level it up, you need those "Data Connections" and sardis gold. At certain breakpoints, you will unlock "patterns" which are basically stat boosts.
Those patterns need to be activated though. That's where these remolding pattern mats come into play (see pic related). The doll needs to equip these mats to satisfy the patterns' required skill points.
