Portal sisters, our deck was honest all along.

After careful deliberation, I think Forest is the only well and truly broken class right now. Rune can highroll, but has early game weakness that you can go under. Portal is consistent and strong, but you can go over it with wincons and combos if you don't take too much damage early to get within Orchis/Betas range. Sword is very weak to board clears, and is basically done if it doesn't do the chip damage necessary early to get you in Albert range. Other classes have too many weaknesses to list. The only standout is Forest. Strong early game, strong mid game, strong late game, has an inevitable wincon that will kill you from full health behind wards if you let them reach late game and can highroll as well as Rune. despite having a stronger and more consistent baseline. Forest doesn't lose to anything, other than itself. A class with possibly the best card draw only loses if it doesn't draw what it needs.

Sword and Portal are the baseline. Both feel good to play, and are where the game should be at. Haven is almost there, Abyss is almost there, Dragon is far from there, Rune dips below and above, depending on highroll, but Forest is so consistently above the curve. Even the "roach math" is far overplayed. They have too many 0pp cards, and free engage triggers to ever care about it. It was unironically harder to play in SV1 with 2pp roach, just because they didn't have so many free pp cards, and free pp bounces, and pp refund, and Sevo to clear the way for roach.

Forest is unbeatable, unless they brick. May is too strong early, you can never establish a board. Their weakness should have been like Rune's, vulnerable til the evo turn, but they have May and fairy spams to take care of everything. If anything, they out tempo and aggro most decks in that window. Nothing sticks after that point, because Glade and Lily just clear all boards. Then it's turn 8 before you know it, and you're at 16 to 20 life, with 2 wards up, and you still die.
