Managed to pick up the Furious mod for what I assume was pretty cheap (900 caps). What should I put it on? I was thinking the handmade rifle because I like the gun and plan on getting the screaming eagle paint whenever it rolls around to make it look cool.

Furious/Onslaught is currently retardedly broken. Stacked up correctly, it gives over +300% damage, while Bloodied maxes out at +130%, Junkies at 100%, Two-shot at 75%, etc.

Take Guerilla Master (+5% damage per stack against close enemies) and Gunslinger Expert (+1% weak point damage per stack), all the time. Take Gunslinger Master (+10 stacks, stacks regenerate when not firing) unless you are in a "literally never stop shooting" situation like a boss battle. Take Guerilla Expert (+3 stacks, +1% reload speed per stack) if you have room for it but that's the one I live without when I need evade and AP regen.

In the current meta, nothing else really competes. It's so dumb that they've got to really nerf Furious into the ground next patch, but that's a problem for then.

I think that ones for range but there’s also one that’s 10% per projectile with no lower limit. But with the range nerfs it could be pretty good, and doing scattershot/tormentor/bully’s would make it shred most stuff anyway since all these recent updates have just been massive powercreep. More Ken Levine seething at Bioshock 2. The DLC is a prequel to Bioshock 1 and takes place in Rapture. It also makes the ending of Infinite's base game totally pointless because killing Booker in the nexus of time didn't kill every single iteration of him, one survived due to Robert and Rosalinde harboring him in another dimension, which for some reason let him survive the TBD (Total Booker Death). This made Elizabeth seethe as she realized she threw away her pseudo incestuous love affair for absolutely nothing and committed to killing him even if it destroyed Rapture. Which it did, she's the one who released the splicers from their quarantine so she could trick the last Booker (forma del Comstock) into getting mulched by a Big Daddy because he was trying to save a Little Sister. Infinite, Burial at Sea, and Part 2 were all effectively just ways for Levine to screech about the themes of Bioshock 2 and eliminate it from the canon timeline.
Vis a vis, Bioshock Infinite would have been way better if Booker just took her to Paris and fucked the shit out of her instead of going to the nexus and having him drowned, and even Elizabeth herself agrees with this opinion given her schizo delusions about all of it.

The themes of Bioshock 1 and Infinite are all about "the illusion of choice". In Bioshock 1, pretty much all of Jack's decisions are completely pointless because other people are making his decisions for him and the few he can make himself make very little difference overall. Levine tripled down on this in Infinite and BaS (which canonized Bioshock 1's good ending via Elizabeth's clairvoyance) as a core element of Infinite is that the player's choices don't matter at all, not one bit. Even though the player is presented with many choices in the game, they chane quite literally nothing, as Booker will always wind up being drowned by Elizabeth.

Levine hated that, he loathed it, and he has stated that most of the reason he even made the twist of Elizabeth being Booker's daughter was because of how much he hated what Bioshock 2 did with Eleanor and Subject Delta.
Also I'd recommend reading Ken Levine's The Jewish Influences of Bioshock, where he talks at length about his jewish heritage and how it informed his creative process. It's enlightening to realize that the main difference between Jack and Booker - who got a good ending and who didn't - is that Jack is jewish, with two full blooded jewish parents, and Booker was a goy. It also makes Infinite's depiction of a white ethnostate, the negative connotations of Christianity in 1 and Infinite, as well as the historical revisionism of events like the Boxer Rebellion and the Battle of Wounded Knee incredibly suspect.

Even with that though, you're not taking Charisma because you think you'll benefit from it, you're taking it because they locked an essential perk behind Charisma. My issue is that CHA is virtually a mandatory stat, perhaps the most important in the game, because having more turns for your companions to do things is vastly more effective than fighting yourself. It's a cool idea but there needed to be more of a tradeoff.

Early FO2 is pretty rough.
Both the hero and the enemies are blind like bats, whole turns go by without anyone getting a hit in.
I dumped the spear with a 29% accuracy rate for melee in the 40s but all it means is that I hit sometimes instead of never.
At least this made me very excited to get my hands on any gun.

There are new raids that are the best way to get those legendary mods, including the only way to get 4 star legendaries. If you decide to check raids out, make sure you don't go overboard, the grind can get real bad if you don't know when to walk away.
Seasons nowadays really suck. You need to get to rank 150 now instead of rank 100 and you don't get rewards every level and when you do, they're a lot more stingy.

I felt a little upset I missed some past seasons cause I used to 100% all of them, but I can't change the fact I missed them. All I can do is just try to play now before I miss 76 entirely. I left originally because I got upset with how the game was going but now that I'm back, I just try to take it a little more casually.
Despite its flaws, there's this unmatched level of community you get when doing events and challenges with other people and something like this will never happen with Fallout again. I'm sure one day, a few years from now, 76 will be made singleplayer and while we'll be glad for it, legitimately Fallout as an MMO sucks, we'll feel like there was a little something special that we'll never get back again

I usually list things like plans, guns and armor at their default sale price, unless you can find them at railway merchants/other npc's, in which case i usually list 10-20% cheaper or just dump them in a charity bin. You can try to ask for the Skyline Valley lost treasures bundle. The weather machine it includes counts as rad weather. Generally though the best weather machine is any Rainy weather machine, which would be the Thunderstorm/Snowman/Aurora weather machine. I also think Atlantic City fog should count as Rainy weather, but they're giant faggots so it counts as Clear weather instead.

If the minigun had a huge STR requirement it'd mean the player wouldn't be able to use it without power armor or tweaking out on chems or being at a higher level with a STR build or using STR boosting legendary effects. If durability were a factor, the minigun could have been almost ready to break so that the durability would only last approximately for the fight with the raiders and the deathclaw. If the ammo system were still in it could have been loaded with poor quality ammo with normal and powerful ammo gated behind high level crafting perks or found in limited quantity batches at some vendors, requiring the player to invest a decent amount of caps and time to build up a large enough stock of 5mm. Any one of these by themselves would have been a fine solution to allow for a full power minigun and a full strength death claw in that encounter so Todd could have his cake and eat it too.

finished the standalone version of Nina's Actually Handmade Assault Rifle. I included files from the Attachment Pack so all of the provided weapon mod meshes will be used without needing the Attachment Pack itself. this is a /fog/-exclusive mod. don't upload it to nexus; the assets need permissions, and it also includes sound files from 76, which are not permitted on nexus.

I also cleaned up the descriptions on the Attachment Pack mods to be more in line with vanilla and fixed a bug with one of the attachments' effects not working. the gun is set up the same way as the handmade rifle but I didn't add it to any leveled lists to leave it up to user choice. you can craft it at a chemistry bench under UTILITY. the gun is called the Scrap Assault Rifle and I balanced it around early-mid game with 28 base damage using 5.56 ammo. all of the receiver damage modifiers are the same as the vanilla Handmade Rifle.

At this point I'm wondering if they just sacrificed this entire year so they can have their utlra mega update line up with the tv show. They didn't expect season 1 to do so well so now they need season 2 to have something huge, which so far seems to be a map expansion and a new boss. Furious is absolutely the best 1st star effect for pretty much any situation.
Artistocrat maxs at 50% extra damage, Furious will rapidly send your auto rifle build to 105%.
The weapons go up to +4 now, not +3. However you can easily slot in legendary effects onto your existing items, its very easy to get the effects you want now. The tricky thing is getting ahold of the mod boxes. You'll want to be scrapping your legendary items instead of scripping them, the purveyor is useless nowadays. That will give you the chance to get a mod box, or even learn to craft your own. The mod boxes are tradable though if you're able to find someone to buy it from.
You can also directly get these mod boxes from the new raids. Those are pretty tough, but honestly people have mostly cracked the code on them and they give so many rewards you'll be spending most your time dropping the excess it gives you. Raids are also the only way to find 4 star legendaries to break down and cannot be found in the wild, those are pretty rough to get.

I'll give you my version of what you need to know, and what you need to know is Furious.

Get the Furious prefix, get the Gunslinger Expert, Gunslinger Master and Guerilla Master perks, you get +300% damage. Nothing else can compete. Not Junkies (+100%), not Bloodied (+130%), not Two-Shot (+75%)

Also get the Easy Target perk, another +75% damage on targets with any crippled limb, and everything gets something crippled very quickly.

There are four stars now, they can be attached to any preexisting three star weapon. The ones people want are Conductor (restores 5HP/5AP on every crit), Polished (up to +60% damage on weapons repaired to 200% durability) and Pinpointer (+20% headshot damage, multiplicative rather than additive so it's a lot more than 20% in practice)

Oh, and the four star armor enchantment everyone wants is Limit-Breaking. It's good now, it will get better next patch. A full Limit-Breaking armor set means you crit every 2nd attack, even with as little as 15 luck.

Well, grolls are extinct. You can only roll a gun once to add legendary stars to it, then after that you change the stars yourself using mod boxes you craft at the tinker's bench. A weapon changed in this way becomes untradeable and nobody cares because everyone now takes whatever gun/build they had in mind and crafts it themselves, it's honestly so much better than wasting a thousand legendary modules rolling dice to get 2/3rds of what you want.

You learn to craft these mod boxes by scrapping legendary items that have that effect attached. It so happens that certain desirable effects are very easy to learn because you can craft a ton of a legendary that has that effect, then immediately scrap them until you learn it.

Make Face Breaker power fists, a couple dozen of them. Scrap them until you learn how to make Furious mod boxes. Make Furious mod boxes for 15 Legendary modules + 1 chem each. Attach a Furious mod box to each of your old Aristocrat weapons, it is now a Furious weapon instead.

I've always been really upset by this. I'd rather try to build in and around some ruins then pick some random spot in the wilderness to build a square box house, it feels more appropriate when living in an apocalypse.
When I first started 76 I remember thinking "oh I want to spruce up the motel in flatwoods as my home" only to find I wasn't allowed. I wanted to live there, live within Morgantown, or by the Poseidon energy plant, or in Wavy Willards and always checked my CAMP module to see if it they might've overlooked something but was always disappointed. This is a very one-dimensional view. Only very fast or very slow weapons are amazing with furious (onslaught or reverse onslaught).
If you have something in-between like a semi auto handmade, or you have a shotgun for up close and a rifle or revolver for far away, furious builds don't work.
That's because you have to chose between normal and reverse onslaught (by equipping GS master).

Other effects are absolutely viable. Juggernaut is great for HP maxxers since it scales up to 100% now (at 1000HP), anti armour is still around and still the best thing for bosses. Executioners is still the only multiplicative first star.
Not to mention that there are a lot of other sources of DMB which all stack additively with each other. And vats crit multi isn't even affected by dmb.

Regular onslaught is great with explosive shotguns. Reverse onslaught is amazing with weapons firing less than 2 rounds per second.
For everything else, there are other, more suitable additions.

Automatic rifles kinda suck with furious, too, because most enemies die before you can get a decent amount of stacks, so your effective DPS is shit outside of bossfights.

They most likely didn't like that the easiest way to get endgame DPS is to farm the scorched queen event for Prime Receivers and Crimson/Violet flux and high radiation fluids to make them and legendaries for script to get legendary modules, and that the easiest way to get ultracite ammo is to make a little of each ultracite ammo type and then build your stock with Scrounger and doing events/ops that drop them. Basically autism trying to force you to use other weapons and receivers, e.g. the best receivers de facto for gatling laser, gatling gun, and gatling plasma are the prime receivers vs all the status effect receivers (e.g. beta wave tuner) - which you should've clued in to when the other half of the game's balance update is trying to go all in on status effects while gutting pure damage perks
