The problem with the Turtle custom quests is that they weren't integrated in the world. They were just tacked on. A good example of this is the sheep quest in Elwynn. It's a cute quest, sure enough, but it doesn't really add to the game or weave itself into the existing game. It also wasn't programmed well, requiring you to talk to the sheep when you really should be clicking on an item to catch them (like the peon quest in the Orc starting area).
With Epoch there seems to be more of an understanding that the story of the game matters when it comes to quest, as the Loremaster thing here >>530243612 indicates. I remember watching a developer vlog where they said they don't like just adding things to the game just to add them, and having them be tacked on. The dev said they didn't like the whole "let's add a subzone here in an unused space of the map" thing that Turtle also does.
And I have to agree. Tirisfal Highlands just feels like a weird tumor that grew onto the actual map. It feels slapped on and attached with some duct tape.
The changes to the Deadmines are probably the best example of this. Epoch's changes flow naturally with the dungeon. You now go into the ship as a part of reaching the end of the dungeon. If you didn't know better, you wouldn't realize they changed this. It feels natural. On Turtle Wow, they just added a tumorous growth onto the Deadmines. The new area sidelines the natural progress of the dungeon. You now have to go off into a custom area that looks out of place, kill a boss, and then you go back on the linear path. It simply doesn't work as well, and it's indicative of the differences between design, where one (Epoch's) is superior to the other (Turtle's).

As someone who tested Epoch I can tell you that they definitely learned from Turtle's mistakes. The custom quests seem very natural. They're actually written in English. There was consideration for how many mobs were in an area, so you don't have to kill 20 big bears when there's only 4 big bears that spawn at any given time on a 7 minute respawn.

I remember on Turtle WoW there was a custom quest where I had to kill a bunch of ogres and one type of ogre had only one single spawn but I had to kill like five of them. So I had to not only wait for respawns but also compete for them with hardcores that I couldn't group with. It sucked. Epoch doesn't do that.

Dungeon difficulty meant the dungeons were no longer trivial. People had to play their roles and classes well. You can’t walk in and say “oh it’s the Deadmines” and just breeze through it. I would say close to heroics. I did three dungeons (Ragefire Chasm, Wailing Caverns, and Deadmines) and none of them were cakewalks like they are normally. NPCs had new abities that we didn’t know about that would throw us for a loop and we’d die and have to talk about what happened and figure it out. CC felt important. Without a mage or a rogue or someone to offtank it would have been even harder. We used a hunter pet to offtank and that worked in lieu of sheep and sap.
I gave a lot of feedback but my overall impression was that dungeons felt more challenging and completing them felt more rewarding. Especially since they had new quests added to them to make them more meaningful.

There is nothing wrong with M+ difficulty. The problem is that it's focused on speedrunning, an inherently zoomoid and trannoid pasttime, instead of incentivizing strategy and careful play.
That being said most wow players have sub-saharan IQ and geriatric reflexes so dungeons in Epoch will inevitably be nerfed due to complaints.

PvP will be an unbalanced mess they probably will never fix. The 1k gold dual spec tells me they are clueless and/or don't care about it. PvPers want to spend the least time farming and you need consumables to tryhard BGs which is already costly. Having an optimized spec also gives a massive edge.

He should be the last boss in Naxx but we canonically lose to him and a custom variant of the scourge invasion starts where for a month Naxx appears above each city in turn and attempts to wipe them out. I am at a complete loss when comparing weapons for my protection warrior.

I'm still level 24, mind you, but between weapon DPS tooltip, weapon attack speed, and added stats (str, agi, etc.) which one is more important?

The main considerations I'm guessing are Rage and Threat output, but I have no idea how those correlate with the information of the weapon itself.

Example. This dagger is a lot faster. Is that better for rage? I would think so, but I keep hearing about these coefficients that make slower weapons proc more stuff better (nobody knows the actual numbers on them, ofc)
