Some people won't admit it, but any iteration of Wow is preferable to bare bones vanilla and really WOTLK forward is when the game actually gets good and fun for the majority of players. Questing is awful (you need to download an addon to play the game), pvp is awful (there is no class balance, none at all) and pve is awful (you press one button, and your skill is based in consumes and buffs)

Emotional zero logic response. Questie is used by literally everyone, it is a non argument to pretend otherwise. It is inherently bad. 2ndly. PvP in vanilla is EASIER than later versions. There is less to press and everyone has less HP and more burst to make it easier for shitty players to score killing blows. However, it is largely based on meta and class choice and thus shittier compared to later versions which are harder to play, but more option oriented.

You really don't. For the most part, quests give good directions. You don't need an addon at all, people just WANT an addon because they're conditioned to go fast and don't want to slow down and read. Want =/= need. The way that people play games has changed, but that doesn't mean there are any flaws with how it's designed. It's like Morrowind in that regard, it's designed perfectly well, modern gamers just don't have the patience for it. I might be an outlier and I acknowledge that, but I never use questie when playing vanilla.
In fact, I will stand by that vanilla has the best questing experience, and I say that as somebody who will be playing MoP. Later expansions are certainly faster paced, and objective-oriented gamers (which are a majority today) will prefer that, but vanilla's immersion and roleplaying fantasy during levelling is unmatched. It's just a slower paced style of gaming that a lot of people don't care for anymore.

Endgame content definitely does improve in later expansions though. Vanilla endgame pve is completely braindead. Which to be fair, I think is what a lot of its playerbase actually wants, they don't want challenge or more skillful mechanics, they just want to chill. And I can respect that on some level. But it's not for me. From Wrath onwards, raids actually start to be fun.
I never really played pvp so can't comment on that.

You do realize you're criticizing people for using a tool that helps them remember and streamline data from over like 2000 individual tasks? Toilet dwellers always use this as some sort of talking point yet fail to explain how the toilet side is any different when the game literally just tells you what to do with a giant flashing red neon sign. The whole purpose of using questing add-ons is to cumulatively group objectives from different quests together at the same time to minimize running back and forth. I also only rely on it about half the time because there are several things the questing guides tell you to do that don't account for over leveling, being in a group, or dungeon farming. Every time I play the game from wrath onward questing wasn't really even a thing. You just dungeon farmed all the way to max level. The thing I really wish they would add is PVP to gain exp. Battlegrounds are the funnest thing to do for me and they basically don't exist on the anniversary server.

When I played TBC vanilla I remember Warrior tanking being pretty difficult. It's always gear dependent but I remember not even being able to make the transition from normal instances into heroics. Especially Sethek halls I would just get crushed on content. I also remember paladins and Druids not really having that problem. If I wanted to be a main tank for an endgame rating Guild what is the best tanking spec?

Without re-creating the wheel, you can't. Mana isn't a builder spender like rage is and it doesn't regen at a finite amount like energy. You have a pool and once it's done, you either need to use consumables to replenish it or wand.

No, its the issue is deeper. Its tied to the pace of mob and boss encounters.

To fix the mana issue they have to gimp the rage/energy systems too.

Ultimately the key is spirit and wanding, where wanding brings back mana as well. Boomkins had a halfbaked melee swings bring back mana, but it was not tuned properly.

I was in bipolar for a month as a trial warrior but left after I realized how the guild is structured—the entire raid exists just to fuel his parse. My first week he looted the cthun healing mace to himself for his diamond flask set instead of giving it to a healer that needed it. By week 2 of raiding with them I had an assignment as a backup juju might on his barov peasant #2 in case the inner fire priest didn't use it. Week 3 I was asked to use Annihilator to rid the boss of the last 36 armor after imp ea ff and cor were applied for his parse. Week 4 he sent out an announcement saying that all warriors and hunters were required to try and farm Blackblade of Shahram so that he could put people with it in his group and have them spam only hamstring the whole fight to try and proc the buffs for him. It was the type of guild where if he got dispelled he'd make the whole raid wait up to 48 hours just so he could get full buffs again.

Tl;dr: Ahlaundoh is carried phase after phase to the #1 spot by warriors like Eljay who can apply 5 sunders to the Skeram clones before Skeram even splits.

Man it's so difficult to decide. I feel like Priest is generally going to be easier to get groups with in TBC, but having to healslut at 60 sounds kinda boring. Mage seems solid in both but maybe hard to find groups with. Arcane is really good in TBC, right?

I think i'm just gonna do a Hunter. Warrior is a disgusting brownie, Rogue is not played a lot and i enjoy the combat, but it's another melee cuck and there's gonna be a million WW's to steal your gear, Paladin is just.. paladin, nobody's hyped about them except maybe some holy cucks. Either way, Hunters can bring almost any buff to a group, so i'll surely be get in every time.
