I don't know how they would have fixed it but I wish there was a way to make battles more interesting from a story perspective after you beat the prologue. When playing the prologue the commanders felt like they had a monster of the week thing going on where it almost felt like being in power rangers or something and it was interesting to see how each of their gimmicks affected the story. after that they're kinda just fodder for the most part
