My Issues With Blue Archive

1. Story

The main issue I took from Blue Archive was each event and some of the main story lacked a certain hook to it. The events tended to lean into the characters and how they act around everyone else. But when its all what they mainly lean on, the cracks really show. Combine that with a lack of voice acting and my attention is elsewhere. There are outliers to this like NIKKE and HSR where the event can be unvoiced but what occurs within the event or how each character interaction feel different to make most come to life. Blue Archive never really did that for me.

2. The Gacha

I think we're all keenly aware as to how bad the gacha is in Blue Archive. The low odds 3% definitely feels painful because of how diluted the pool is. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, but it feels 9/10, you never get the rate up and end up getting a bunch of standards. Getting the currency is simplistic thanks to all of the raids and events ongoing, but it lowered my experience with the 200 pity and small window to pull characters going from one to 2 weeks.

The only valid thing here is the Translation. In global they even took out the Emojis from the club chat having translations, and now its all korean.

But it's really not much of a big deal. The Bond quests and sidetstories in the game got all the fanservice for you...

The story? its a very casual game. Your opinion is so stupid anyway, when you said "I never read the main story thats why I hate it" ... when main story is suppose to be the one with the substance.

The events or considered side stories, are just Cutesy casual events, they are never meant to be a really Huge thing. Which is a good thing because Its horrible to miss a storyline because its time limited.

Another difference is that the criminals seem to be formally dismissed and washed of their respective school, leaving them open targets for any other school. Schools go out of their way to not involve themselves with other schools because these psychotic bitches will go to war for any reason under the sun, so if a trinitard goes to gehenna and starts some bullshit, generally gehenna will stomp them into the dirt and throw their asses back to trinity, if trinity comes and tries to handle it themselves gehenna would throw hissy because it's their territory, but trinity would wanna handle it because it's their student.
I imagine this is a massive headache for everyone involved, so these perps are treated much more harshly than general rulebreakers and that in itself keeps students confined to their own zones, big enough pond you know? Problem students are, consequently, problems for EVERYONE. That's, I think the main difference between the prisoners and bad students. They're a problem to kivitos as a whole, repeatedly, and do not give a single solitary fuck. They're menaces to society at large and just can't be handled conventionally, so it's open season on their asses for everyone, which honestly probably suits them just fine, and schools distance themselves from the prisoners to not be assigned blame for not being able to keep them under control.

At first it'll do fine but at some point you'll want to create monocolored damage teams with exception of non-damaging supports and tanks because damage color doesn't matter when you don't do damage and in the story/in lower difficulty level of raids enemies do neutral damage.
Tsurugi isn't that good of a tank. Don't be fooled by their rarity. Even with her unique gear which improves her performance she's used mainly for niche uses tied to her faster movement to bait attacks in PvP and die. Might find some use in Chesed runs until you get enough yellow AoE.
Saki is niche for one raid and not even widely used iirc, but Maki is worth raising as she's used in bunch of yellow raids, is easily farmable and is your first decent yellow damage dealer.
Chise is your best friend at start thanks to few blue options and I think most blue AoEs are season-locked so her and summer Koharu will be your main blue damage dealers for quite some time and essential for Peroro raids until you get better blue AoEs, then they'll become 2nd team core.
Hanako and Kotama are also worth investment because they got new life with this mode where you can bring like 12 students or so.

I have 500$ I've been saving for a year now for ZZZ idols that I've recently been thinking about spending it on BA instead to clear out the packs before they reset. I'm assmad at ZZZ for treating me like dirt, 0/7 won coinflips (0.8% chance btw) and the newest character dodged me at max pity and I got the shittiest S rank in the game instead. I also already have around 700 rolls saved. It'd be like 150$ to clear the rest out (not whale enough for the 6600 packs) and if I didn't I'd be missing out on a potential 15k pyro for bluefes. I have 22k Pyro right now but I'm new so I probably have another 15k I could scrounge up F2P. I could take or leave Seia and I don't want Asuna. I have a 10 roll I need to spend on Seia banner before it ends so I only need 11k to spark her. During bluefes I'm dicksparking Neru, I could take or leave S.hanako and Rio. Past 200 I'd be rolling for Hinata, Kaho, Kanna, Kikyou, Kokona, Marina, Moe, Shun (Small), Toki, and Wakamo. 10 Characters (17 with skins). Couldn't find a real answer so I had to count on the wiki so this number is off but there's 163 3* on bluefest banners. Roughly 8k pulls If I wanted to get all 17. 960k Pyro. After doing the math I've come to the conclusion any pyro I buy would be pissing money in the wind. I'll have enough to spark Seia and Neru without needing the pack resets. Next girls I want are the train brats and I have plenty of time to save for them.

They're one of the truly limited resources that gets used for gift farming once you hit the true endgame, but I'm sat on over 800 of them - so take that how you will.
If you're new just use some of them to craft furniature - guides will tell you to go to the 3rd node, but just filling the first is fine for now. Events and banners with limited characters.
First banner will feature Seia and Asuna. You get like 100 free rolls on it. They'll most likely distribute rolls day by day, not all 100 at once. That's half of spark.
After that banners ends, we'll get banner with Rio, Neru and rerunning Hanako. There rates for 3* will be increased from 3% to 6% so it's good way to get bunch of 3* students while going for limited students. All anniversary students were pretty good so far.
Second banner is definitely more valuable as not only you can potentially get more, but there is chance to get 3 anni characters, not just 2. Hanako is best purple damage dealer + AoE until train siblings come I think. Rio is top tier support and supports are always good as you can use them in most raids. Neru is annoying goblin but probably good performance-wise too.
So if you have enough rolls saved to get spark at half cost on first banner and then spark on anni, you can go for it. If you don't have enough, I think it'd be better to save everything you have on annifest and blow everything you have or at least 1 spark and then save for railway students I guess.

It's just that as damage dealer she will be good at most in 1/3 of raids because of damage type, while Rio could work in most. But then support slots are really competitive so it depends on your strat and availability of frontline supports. Most team compositions for raids consist of hyper carry, tank and bunch of supports. Rio can allow your hypercarry to use her nuke twice in a row within duration of buffs which is potentially extremely strong. But you need buffs in the first place to make it work. You have only 2 support slots and they are often occupied by 2 of following students
