I loved Nier but more because I love post-apocalyptical robots and the like. I always loved games like Megaman for example.
2B being hot as fuck was more of a bonus and even then I prefer A2
I think most of it really is in the twsist. Nier keeps throwing curveballs your way. While you could deduce some of the plot twists due to stuff like Megaman Legends, the rest legit blindsides you. And that’s why I liked it so much.
Oh I also loved the concept of multiple types of androids including Executioners specifically tailored for models they knew would be too good ag the job. I also liked how Nier justified all the combat models being sexy females as while the beauty was due to human preference reflected on them, the make bioroids were actually stronger by the male frame but this made them more independent and supposedly hampered teamwork the revelations later on S types veing high end models that end up learning too much and this being accounted also indicates the actual reason would be that make Battle models would do the same and be way harder to deal with instead which is also something I like. I love organizations that factor risks like that and put according countermeasures

There's never a guarantee and I'm usually too irresponsible to save up really big stockpiles, but for the past few years I usually try for NP2 if I think they really fill a role that needs it or do something interesting. And I've been lucky enough to hit NP2 on quite a few, some from the start and some on rerun banners. I got my first Morgan mostly on a whim in her original gacha, then got her NP2 on one of her early reruns; I barely managed to scrape up Arcueid and Aoko in their original gachas and got a lucky NP2 on reruns; and I got both Draco and Space Eresh NP2 on their first gachas. The only ones I'm kind of disappointed that I didn't go for NP2 were Kuku and BB Dubai, but for the former I already have a few other NP2 Foreigners and for the latter that would have meant not going for NP2 Eresh. Maybe Phantasmoon too for even better Alter Ego killing but I barely got her at NP1 during her second rateup so I'm just happy to have her at all.

I was more lucky with rate up NP2 in the past year though.

He took Vritra's powers so that he can power up Nagapasha/Nagastra (his snek weapon). I don't know about them using Super Karna since among other things Super Karna's palm was replaced by Ash's gemstone so it's nonsensical as a Grand design.
But I did think about them giving Karna various targets in his Grand form that would appease people looking to use an AOE for a change. Either Super Karna's Gradius Options are extra enemies, the Vajra kusogaki if the Grand Duel is part of the story and not a separate thing that follows up the climax of the story, or if Karna's hauling around his Indra eye supernova behind him and you can target parts of it

Event's story was decent, if a little repetitive. One of those charming events with nice interactions. It would've been on par with this year's serpent event or better had the ending not been a wet fart.
Doesn't make sense to start the event with Arjuna's begrudging relationship with Vritra, complete with its own CG, develop it, and then walk back on everything at the last second to settle on Vritra as an abrupt twist villain.
Setting up Indra's flaws as a pompous braggart and an absentee father towards and Arjuna's implicit wariness towards him, but never writing the confrontation about it between the two really sours me too.
Felt like they were building into something at first but the finale is a really dire narrative backfire that spoils the rest of the experience.

Karna and Beowulf that were punching her dealt a bit more scratch damage than his Ascalon and Alterjuna Mahapralaya for example. Nor is there any mention of it in his character profile, nor do the members of Chaldea comment on it because Indra only says it in the epilogue to a group of alcoholic and Indian servants, making a sort of lancer tournament against him.

I really hated this one loophole in particular. Quirinus being an exception due to being close to mankind still worked somewhat (even though Orion would have been a man that became a god if he accepted Artemis' proposal)
However, cheating by creating a human body is something ALL the Olympians could do. And since Tezcatlipoca cheated further and forced himself in the Assassin container to fill King Hassan's spot because he was the sole qualifier, this essentially means someone that has the bare minimum qualifications can force himself in other containers anyway. Fuck's sake, the requirement for Grand Caster is Clairvoyance. Zeus can arguably be Grand Archer because of the Tesla Lightnings and since he has Clairvoyance he could shove himself into the Grand Caster container by that logic.

One issue with Nasu breaking the rules in the instances of Grands is that it's thoroughly unsatisfying. Nasu breaking established rules as the culmination of a story, showing how it's a miracle in that context is the intent.
Breaking the rules for Quirinus was a case of people already expecting Romulus to get some wank and just it being done in a different way than expected. Even if people don't care about Romulus it was a, "Yeah, we get it" since it was foreshadowed for ages.
Something like Indra is a dude being tossed in at the last minute, getting wanked and saying, "lmao Grand Lancer." Tez getting wanked as Grand Assassin is something people accept because Nasu established the Assassin class as shitters and the context of it being "nobody else qualifies so Tez cheats his way in because you gotta have SOMEBODY in the seat" and also that Tez' introductory chapter had him get established as a character who people enjoyed reading.
For Indra it's a character people don't even care about being allowed to break the rules but doesn't have the Romulus aspect of it being something that at least was built up and it's for no adequately explained reason.

The duel Grands being also new character kind of breaks the theory crafting because then they can just release the opponent 2 weeks before it like they just did.
