Whatever value you reach in crops, try to send an equal value in dust. If you are sending 5 mil value in crops, send 5 mil value in dust. Going above 1:1 has diminishing returns and is inefficient

The elementalist doesn't look good because its action speed immunity is reliant on keeping an AG alive and within range at all times, and several of the defenses are conditional.
Honestly penance brand in general still doesn't look as good as the high end armourstacker or trickster builds though, outside of blight mapping where you literally cannot control your character and have a defensive aurabot (but fubgun was dying constantly in them due to a mix of lag and no shotgun immunity).

in 3.26 some people tried to cope that doryani merc is so strong for penance brand that you can afford to spec into defenses so much that it actually becomes a tanky build but it just isnt enough to slap on a global defence chest and some auras and call it a day. if you want it to be truly tanky you have to use a shield and invest into block, either svalinn or a rare shield with recover on block, but at that point the damage just isnt there anymore. you actually need quite a lot of passive points for penance brand so fitting in block becomes very difficult.

the revive monster one is also allegedly ridiculously strong for some mechanics which is kinda weird, like for harvest it revives them? but most of the time it does absolutely nothing so it feels kinda bad

I've been trying to make a guide for Path of Exile 2 buildcrafting from a 'start from zero' perspective and it was a huge monkey's paw to want PoE 2's skill tree to not just be 70% life nodes. Life nodes sort of created general guidelines for where you wanted to go in PoE 1's passive tree. You can create a totally usable poe 1 character using all rares, life nodes, and generic damage nodes.
The PoE 2 passive tree is completely directionless. You're mostly just spreading out all over the place for very specific damage nodes that could be half the tree away. The critique that it's too inefficient to get around the PoE 2 passive tree is actually wrong, you WANT to get out of your corner of the tree. In PoE 1, it's a lot better to stay near your starting point (though cluster jewels help a lot in this case)

I wish endurance charge on melee stun actually worked. I can get frenzy charge sustain from an eldritch implicit on body armor, but I can't get this fucking endurance charge gem to work. I am smacking map bosses for a third of their life in one hit and not getting credited with endurance charges. I am one shotting trash mobs and it only gives me endurance charges when it feels like it. Fuck this stupid support gem. Game is really gonna force me back into Ralakesh boots or replica Farrul's again because the other options don't fucking work.

Kalguurmaxxing is bad unless it's a supplement to another strategy and you're just printing lost shipments. You will average a Svalinn every 1k maps (3% drop), ~1/35 maps per crater. And you gotta sit through the retard's invincibility phases while opportunity cost is draining all your currency.

Yeah and you get NOTHING if you don't hit the 1/1k map jackpot. Lost shipments are ok rewards. If you're doing a minimalist nothing strategy like Ritual only if special altar otherwise boss rush maps per hourmaxxing it's acceptable.
