What changes on mobile?

Master Duel should introduce a story mode.
Ranked Duels are locked until you complete it.
But the story very short and simple: You wake up in hell because (you are dead) and must win a resurrection match against the bot/AI.
The opponent's deck? A carefully scripted full power tearlaments deck.
Events and everything else are still available, only no ranked duels unless you complete that duel.

Besides Lancea, it's hard to say.
A lot of lines can potentially be fucked beyond recovery by Nib, Imperm, Droll, Ash etc. (and your opponent is probably trying to check/guess what you have because of that) but most of them are a mix of the following:
>Can keep balling after Nib
>Can play under Droll
>Can negate Imperm/Ash
So more often than not it depends on what they started with and if you can identify what line they are going through or what they are trying to do.
For example, on some lines Imperm on White Binder can potentially end their combo, but if they make Linguriboh there's nothing you can do. Similarly, a Called by the Grave can also fuck them over if they can't dodge with Hare or another card.
Even something like Chaos Hunter isn't guaranteed because they could have Knightmare Cerberus in their Extra Deck (since apparently Terahertz isn't that popular).
TL;DR: It's all a guess game.

Granguignol does a lot of heavy lifting in Branded. If you resolve your standard branded fusion combo but also have cartesia access, you can make granguignol by fusing her with bystial lubellion for a branded lost search and to dump an additional albaz fusion from ED to grave. In other instances you need it to even get branded fusion access in the first place (eg cartesia fusing with saronir into granguignol to send shrouded dragon from main). I would also consider running sprind the irondash too since that's only a rare.

I've been running a 45ish card list, just trying to learn the combos and stuff, but I feel like if I'm adding in 3 lancea and whatever else, slowly creeping up to 50 or 60 cards, I might as well add in grass and try to not get overwhelmed with all my options.

Imo, it's not worth it. It raises the power ceiling of an already powerful deck. Your main Maliss link monsters + traps already generate enough interruptions, and draw you a bunch of cards which means more HTs.

I'd rather freestyle the deck and learn to play it pure that memorize the "most powerful combo line" that will become worthless next format.

SUDA + ALIN in the TCG, yeah.
It comes to the OCG in late September, which means it's possible it might come to MD first as a "preview" for OCG players.

My guess is we get Ryzeal next month + a bunch of Terminal World cards. Maybe a weak archetype from ALIN as well like Dragon Rulers.

Then in Sept it's Mitsurugi + Codetalkers as upgrades to both Ryzeal and Maliss so they can be at full power.

And finally Oct drops the final bit of White Forest stuff with the missing ALIN content, so Nov + Dec can drop a Banlist and be the DB pack stuff with Yummies, K-9 and Dracotail, which kickstart a new meta.

There are times where hits are (rarely) preemptive or as emergency hits. A recent example I can think of:
Shavara was hit because unchained was relatively good and cheap deck at the time of duelist nexus/AGOV, but Yubel came after that hit so it might have made that following formats more tolerable to an already operssive deck.

I think the fatigue people have in the TCG and why theres a lot of dick sucking with the banlist are due the long combo decks that just keep extending, have lines to play through blowouts handtraps, can rebuild boards, and create the sense of coin flip games.
Yubel, maliss, SEFS are the decks that come into mind where the end board and deck is just too good.
Yes sideboards, anti meta decks and board breakers exist but some of these wouldn't be a problem if konami wasn't trying to make this same deck each core set release or actually put proper locks on good cards from being too good. So the gut reaction for the TCG playerbase is begging for a ban list to push those decks out.

Pure Mikanko control builds were always a bit underrated. You were able to get Master 1 with the deck when it released. Not that that means a ton, but it's not a completely hopeless deck.
I don't think that the new support improves going first builds enough to make them worth considering seriously, but maybe I'm underestimating it. And being able to pop all extra deck monsters is a nice payoff if it's also backed up by 1-2 of the Mikanko traps, the Mikanko resource generation, and easy OTK potential. I just don't know if it has enough consistency yet to run the sort of non-engine you'd want to.

There's nothing fair about forcing a turn skip and then OTKing because you drew a single card. It's the same as any floodgate deck that ran shit like skill drain and so on. Except those needed to go first and they STILL got hit. Lancea doesn't even need that. You open it, you win.

The only downside is that it's a brick if the other deck doesn't banish at all, but it can so be used to negate called by so your Ash or Maxx C/Fuwa resolve, so it's not like it's a totally dead card either.
